There was hard turbulence right after takeoff inside clouds lasting about 1-2 minutes when leaving Munchen in march.

I love how everyone is chill and laughing about it. I've been on flights where people start crying during rougher than usual turbulence 😂

I wish our pilot had said something like this on our Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Edinburgh in January! We had horrendous turbulence and then we had to do an emergency landing in Amsterdam because of a burning smell. The decent was rapid and unlike some flights where people cheer when you land after bad turbulence, everyone on our plane was in complete silence. People were crying and praying on the way down. Staff at the Amsterdam airport told us they couldn’t believe that our flight had ever even taken off due to Storm Isha.

I hate to hear pilot say : everything is under control, nothing to worry!, especially in German accent English.
