Waratah is bad machine? have you problem with harvesting head waratah?
@logger7117 жыл бұрын
ive used logmax, waratah, satco and woodsman, my fav is logmax 10,000xt, fell trim process sort stack load trucks and dig tracks on hills plus being able to scoop a stem off a stack without stopping as apose to stop and grab, easy to fix, in 3.5yrs on my 3rd set of knives, head can multi task with rollers, top and bottom knives operate independently wich is handy for sort stack and loading, personally i wouldnt go out and buy waratah purely because of what i can do with logmax, neither logmax, satco, waratah or woodsman are crap, they just do some things differently, churr

Why delimb logs with no branches? To ensure quality to make sure every log is the same spec delimb wise might not be any limbs visible but there are always protrusions on every log doing this means less log rejected by the mill.

623 would chop that logmax up you cant even compare the two
@mnasadyk8 жыл бұрын
We call it prototype since it has never had the Logmax 500 computer on it. We have had to do only minor changes to the system to work together. Ultimately what the waratah and southstar operators have said so far is "fast in small wood and huge torque in big wood" This truly supersized me since they are running the competition on Tigercat 855. I guess Just the right motor combo! On the market? Slowly waiting on the next unit then I can line up more demos. This unit was the 398 Komatsu head so yes they are out. The first unit was sold on the first demo.

Logmax all the way I work next to Waratahs and south stars and I have over 13,000 hours on my machine and barley touched it all season I think Logmax holds a tree and follows a tree better then waratahs and south stars and this leads to less vibration on the head and makes the head feed faster,and that makes a big difference when your cutting big knotty aspen like me
@connollyslogging489 жыл бұрын
I like it I ran this machine in a demo around quesnel very good set up lots of flow to the head and good fuel economy and as far as heads go you can't make a better investment then buying Logmax
