Same amount of cups as Gretzky and Lemieux are put together, and in the same era. If the goal is to win the cup, you take Messier.

Loving your hockey videos! There’s so much more to check out and love! I’m a true Canadian girl and have been watching hockey for the vast majority of my 50+ years. I highly recommend the Hockey Psychology KZbin videos as a great hockey analysis/breakdown of the game, throughout the season; it will keep you up on current highlights and ready you down the road for his playoffs videos - all are fantastic.

If you’ve never blocked a shot in a sensitive spot, it essentially hurts so bad you loose all feeling in whatever joint or limb it hits….think trying to walk when your legs & feet are numb from sitting in a weird position too long, it’s just won’t work when you try to put pressure on it it’s dead/limp/worthless especially inside the knee cap and ball of ankle

Any game that you can't play because of a hangnail or blister doesn't count ad a sport. When i played hockey, can't anymore because of health issues that could be very deadly on the ice, if you didn't have blisters at the end of the game it meant your skates were not tight enough

I remember watching that game live as a kid in Detroit! This fight started the season before when Lemieux basically broke Drapers entire face with a cheap shot and then refused to apologize. And the fight didn't end here either. It continued for several more games.

I've played hockey for years; as you know how quick it is. But when you are on the ice, at this level, it's so fast, it's unreal, I mean it's not in super-speed mode, it's faster than that. Your mind and body just reacts in a split second. I cannot believe I played that game for so long. Got hurt and still have some scars to prove it, including a couple of broken noses (before visors).

He unquestionably rivals Gretzky in my opinion. The level of skill and pure natural ability is beautiful to watch, and there is no one in the league today with that ridiculous degree of instinct and physicality combined with scoring ability that just has to be witnessed to fully understand and appreciate. One of the GREATS.
