@JeffRyallG4GR13 күн бұрын
No- they made a CS10 with internal radio module, but would have to be at least rh15. The Rh1200 was for the older rx1250. If you interface cs10 via Bluetooth, can get up to 300 feet range as option

@@bartoszambrozik9529 you have to check the cs10 as there was a special model that had a internal radio- if there is not internal radio then only BT- these are old would recommend a CS20 with newer RH17-18 to go on the TS15 then will get close to 1,000 ft radio range

Love the video, we're finding so many glitches and issues with Leica in general that they don't really address with basic videos like this; my biggest issue with the cs20 is their keyboard; we have 10 of these units and almost all of them have keys that have faded completely and the side rubber bumper is detached from the housing

Thanks for your inspired video, but I have a little of confusion! and I think I am in trouble! pls, help! Are closing point (or misclosure point) and closing station different? I think the traverse app in Leica Captivate and its methods are different from those in Leica Flexfield like TS07. I performed a traverse using TS07 Total Station, I had just two known points (K95 & K96), I wanted to perform a Link Traverse but I thought it is impossible to doing it, because I had just 2 points! but What I did is some way looks like a (closed loop) traverse! Whatever, I started at point K95 and backsight K96 with (known backsight) orientation method outside the traverse app, then I entered the traverse app and I chose (with known backsight) method and did the same as the orientation when 1st setup, then the traverse started and I measured Back and Fore sights till I arrived the other known point (K96-initial backsight!), I setup at (K96), I shot backsight, then I hit the (Close) button before measuring foresight and a window appeared (it included different options, one of them stated "At known Station to Known Closing Point") I chose it and I selected the closing station as (K96) and the closing point as (K95 - the start station). Then it finished the Job and I Adjusted the traverse inside the total station. When results appeared, I noticed that the last distance (K96 To K95) measured, not included in the adjustment, why? and my end station appeared as point K96! Did I perform the traverse in a wrong way or what? or the closing point is just used for close the angle to calculate the angle misclosure? for checking weather I'm wrong or not I processed the raw traverse data with Leica Infinity and achieved the same result with very small discrepancy. You didn't hit the close button and the total station closed in position when you were at point 4 and foresighting point 1!! so I didn't understand your point of misclosure is point 1 or point 6? and the total length of the traverse is 1 to 1 or 1 to 6? also my traverse is true or not, however I got a very accurate result!

This is a good set of videos I was looking for ... Thanks for your time and effort explaining traverse.Lets say that our reference control points have 0.99927162125 scale factor. Where we are going to apply that to achieve our target points will have the same scale factor at the end to use so all our control will have the same scale factor when we put all of those control points into a job to use and that job will have that scale factor applied...
@Mehmet_KISSACIOGLU8 ай бұрын
I am confused with the scale factor. When you pick the Current setup option, is it calculated from your traverse? at the end?
@JeffRyallG4GR8 ай бұрын
SF is calculated during the Setup--requires a State Plane or Coord system attached to Job under Job Properties, and based on the starting coordinate of the setup up point . SF is computed , then all the data in the job will be based on Grid system of the selected Coord system. If coordinate system set to "none" then working on Surface (ground)
@Mehmet_KISSACIOGLU8 ай бұрын
@@JeffRyallG4GR So as I understand if we alredy applied a coordinate system along with scale factor to the job then we picked the Current setup we will produce new control within the job defiend coordinate system and will be having the same scale factor that the job we are working with has. Right?

If you use the same point # will average, if collecting linework, start on a range of point numbers that have not been used. The averaging is great for shooting in control points, so some clients use control points in 1-100 point range then start topo linework at 500.

In your first example you have all point codes for what I have set up as linework. I was just wondering how this works back in the office. Thanks.
@JeffRyallG4GR11 ай бұрын
If one of the codes you defined in Infinity code list defaults to "Start line"-In the field on CS20 you can click on the icon for the linework, and then set to "None", this will make then code as a point-if you prefer, thus if a client wants to take a shot on a Back of Curb (spot shot) with no linework, then change on the fly- in next video i can show this. Also in above example if you wanted to do linework, you can do that as well, just click on the "Dot" icon, and select linework eg start line or start 3 pt curve.

@@JeffRyallG4GR OK I know this. Sorry I didn't explain myself clearly. I was wondering why you have what I would consider to be linework by default, set to points? Also I prefer to minimise screen clicks and use keyboard input as much as possible. My software recognises all codes as line work unless prefixed with a P for point. (PS. As far as software goes I'm using LSS Solo, not Infinity, to set up code lists and process surveys).

Hello Jeff. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and for making this publicly available. Your channel is a goldmine. Now at 16:07 "make sure it's programmed in the same frequencies". I cannot emphasize this enough. I have used the Pac Crest PDL4535 radios with my Leica GX1230+ Base (it is also 35W radio) and I learned the hard way that the TX radio at the Base needed to be programmed with the exact same frequency table as the RX radio at the Rover. I had to pay for a Pac Crest reseller to send me a frequency table for my radios to fix it. I can say that I am quite comfortable with my Leica 1200+ units but these are getting old. I have a few questions for you: 1- What is the frequency range of the Satel-EasyPro Transmitter radio that you feature in your video? 2- How many channels are usable on it (for comparison my Pac crest PDL4535 has 16 channels)? 3- How did you program the channels on the Satel-EasyPro radio? Does it require any specialized PC software to do it? 4- How did you program the channels on the Satel RX radio on the GS18 rover? Does it require any specialized PC software to do this or can be programmed from the CS20 data collector directly? 5- I could see from the video that your Satel-EasyPro radio has a 12.5kHz channel spacing. Is it reconfigurable to use the 25kHz instead? 6- Last but not least, do you think that it is compatible to use a Satel-EasyPro TX radio at the Base and using my existing PacCrest RX radios at the rover if I make sure that they use the exact same channel frequencies? I am asking this because I saw that you are using quite different Satel models at the base and rover (Satel TR1/HPR3 at the Base, SatelTR4+ at the Rover). It would be nice if Satel is intercompatible with other radio radio brands like Pac Crest if one is using Transparent protocol, while making sure to program every channel frequency the same way. Looking forward to hearing from you. You earned a new subscriber.
@JeffRyallG4GR Жыл бұрын
In US need frequencies approved from FCC then we program into radio, with office software, typically 4 -5 frequencies are approved 461.025 to 464.5 range. The GS18 rover radio can be programmed with cs20 with current firmware 5.0 or later. In US 12.5Khz but Satel can be programmed to 25 khz but not legal in US not sure where you are working? Satel should have language FST mode if our radio has it then should talk with it Pac crest- if you can confirm data protocols you have it should work.

The TEXT files default to store under the DATA not the DBX- so check the DATA sub directory then copy files and then you can delete. When you export ASCII,DXF will ask what directory to store, defaults to DATA- so check for Text Ascii file and the DBX (Data Base Xchange) is for the raw job files needed for Infinity

@JeffRyallG4GR Жыл бұрын
When you create a JOB you can store to Internal Memory or SD card -if you have a SD card-in this case will see icon for SD card on lower right corner of job icon. If you export ASCII,XML or DXF you can export to SD or USB but a lot of time we see it stored to Internal memory so also important to check at least every 3 months under Windows-Leica GEO-Captivate -DATA sub directory and can copy and back up and then delete these files to help free up space. The Internal DBX subdirectory will store all the Leica raw job files needed for Infinity and also the Images from camera, and will be the larger files, and thus the need to clean up as over time this can bog down the cs20. As stated above if you use a SD card and store to SD card, then download the SD card and format the SD card. important to format SD card on regular basis -approx one time per month, and use a Leica SD card or SanDisk Ultra, as cheaper SD cards leads to problems and loss data. Formatting the SD card will help reduce chance of losing data on SD card, i prefer to store to internal Memory then transfer the Jobs to SD or USB at end of day.

If you download to Infinity- the reporting is great so that is an option. I would strongly recommend Infinity for any one running RTK or TPS especially when traversing, will need the TPS option. The older Format files allow you to export information, these can be downloaded from My world, if you email me i can send some over- also can ask Leica support 800-327-4773 to help or your local dealer should be able to help. Also on CS20 if you go to Job-Export Dat, then export a Rw5, will have all the raw info from traverse. So several options
