Faz alguns minutos que a mesma locomotiva acabou de passar aqui onde moro, em Içara. Estão indo fazer um passeio de Criciúma até Sideropolis. Nostalgia ao rever a locomotiva a vapor, a mesma de quando eu era criança

I do not see these engines as old outdated tech. I see them as outstanding survivors of a bygone era, still relevant into modern times due to fitness for the job! Plus who doesn't love giant thundering steam locomotives, regardless of the flag on them!

Yugoslav clone of USATC S100 SHUNTER/YARD LOCOMOTIVE; so efficient after WWII, that Yugoslavia built several hundred for the JZD eventually inherited by Serbian Railways after 1990s civil war. A "short life" military design of US 1943, lasting well over 80 years! DocAV

Летом 1982 года довелось служить на границе в тех краях и в бинокль наблюдались те же паровозы. Уже тогда это поражало архаичностью происходящего так как в СССР паровозы почти уже не использовались.

Steam locomotives didn't fade out in the USSR, they all faded when the USSR dissolved.

Os vagões de passageiro estão em Tubarão, todos os anos tem passeios. Eles tem mais 2 locomotivas a vapor restauradas. Teve um passeio mês passado, e agora vai ter um em Maio. Entra em contato com o museu ferroviario de Tubarão que eles passam as datas e valores

Esse carvão é transportado para a termo elétrica Jorge Lacerda. Hoje em dia usam locomotivas diesel . Logicamente essa máquina a vapor é somente para demonstrações e passeios turísticos nessa região!

Pena que não temos mais nenhuma TEXAS em condições operacionais atualmente e a única MALLET (204) operacional está em operação em Rio Negrinho, salva e recuperada pela ABPF após décadas de luta para sua reforma. Vídeo maravilhoso

i was lucky to go in 2002 when not only were there all the mine workings, but there were still QJs and JSs on the mainline. Wonderful for steam, but what a sh--- --le!
