I think I've been trying Flagolet in the wrong place, I'm trying it in the lower part not in my falsetto placement

Hi I was wondering how to breathe properly during flagolet I can breathe fine when hitting head voice and falsetto when I hit f#5 or G5 in flagolet, my breathe can’t last even 5 seconds it just wants to push out for flagolet any techniques or exercises to help ?

The sound is not actually made from the epiglottis it's actually the arytenoid cartilages and aryepiglottic folds.

Hi, thanks to your video. I've achieved this cover. I'm pushing hard to compress. I wish to have multiple distortions sounds, maybe I've not to pushing so hard? Or better use of resonance in the head and throat shape? Please consider the second verse, we lack of synch at the beginning 😊 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWHJopegf5yKh5ofeature=shared

Thanks for the video. Does this mean that flageolet itself isn't very useful in singing, but that for example it can help you extend your head voice upwards more easily and flexibly if you practice it? If I go very high in head voice, I seem to get into a slightly different register that feels a bit higher in the head and a slimmer sound, and seems like it might be somewhat useable in singing, especially light, quick moving singing. But maybe it's actually light head voice, as I can make it fuller than flageolet 'squeaks' :-/

Hello J :) The Epiglottis can be added to any sound actually :) but some sounds will sound more fun instead of a sound one would use in a band it would fit better in a movie or video game at points, but sometimes it fits perfectly for the tone one is looking for :) - All the best! Søren

Tunnel throat isnt a distortion. Its a mouth position. Youre using false folds.
@sorensedit7730
@sorensedit7730 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Swop :) - Styles of gestures in the oral cavity also has a name, Twang being a good one to mention here, as well as Squeals etc. If you are trying to say that Tunnel throat does not change the amount of vibrating tissue in the voicebox, then you are incorrect, for example, air distortion makes everything vibrate in the voicebox, but not in a way that we can control. The Ventricular folds (false vocal folds) on their own do not do as much as you might think, one of the main reasons is that those folds do not have muscle fibers, so we can only close them and let them vibrate. The word distortion is an odd one, people normally say rock distortion about a very voiced sound where the ventricular folds are included. Maybe distortion should be used more to explain fry with, however words are added and changed ALL the time :) All the best!

I'm not saying the video's creator is wrong, but I'd definitely recommend moving your tongue around to find different tones and such. I started doing tunnels with my mouth very open. Back of tongue to roof of mouth, still a u shape but not as extreme. Sounds more like dickie Allen when I do it that way.

Hello Coral Gospel :) Gentle fist, then more powerful later, that could be a smart move then :) However, it could be thr way that you treat your oral cavity in the higher parts of your voice, or the amount of flexibility. However I would need to hear your voice to figure out the right way for you to achieve it :) All the best! Søren Sedit, Headteacher at RMS VI

I think vocal break is not really related to yells. The distortion agent is different. There must be lotta projection thrown into the nasal area plus constricted false cords. I experimented with vocal break and it didn’t really work well. Trying to hit a high note might help, but only if it’s LOUD. Vocal break done without nasality/twang and FC engagement is just useless. And all the bands you mentioned, they don’t do falsetto and most not even doing mixed voice
