they recently played in bern/switzerland and it was sold out too quickly. i hated myself for not getting a ticket early enough! saw them live twice, but twice ain't enough, right? LC are one of the best bands humanity has ever witnessed, right? fortunately there are still many, but anyway. you know what i mean. Not only the best drum cover of this song I've seen, with Vinnie-style fills and all, but you're singing the vocal part and melody itself isn't simple in this song. I wonder if you just outwitted Vinnie, if he could play that part AND sing the song.

@@Five5blau I played it on a bass and sang, but that's easy. And that's exactly what I meant: do you think in terms coordinating two things - drumming & singing and assuming Vinnie could sing - do you think he could do both? I mean I'm inclined to believe so, but that's tricky. His own answer might have been "I don't know".

Your voice blends really well with Huey and I think that was a clever decision as I think few single vocals would better Huey's. Great to see this song resurface. I am no drum expert but it sounds fantastic to me. What a great performance - loved it! HLN lost popularity but quality went up IMO with the Small World album which Rolling Stone named the worst of that year. Typical RS - they know nothing but image. Maybe Jaussi could be encouraged to drum with more songs from that album. Old Antone's, Small World etc... so many to choose from.

Wow, thanks so much for your kind words! It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed singing those great lyrics as much as I loved drumming. And yes, Small World is a great record, maybe even the best of their first five though I know Fore! the best, since it was the first one I bought back then. They were and still are just an amazing band!
