Wow its good to see fords personal car pulled by his personal steam locomotive again Greenfield village needs to find some old passenger coaches like that for the visitors to experience instead of the old junky ones thay are using cerently

It'd be nice for that personal car to be hooked to the daily passenger train like the Lilly Belle being hooked to the back of one of the daily passenger trains at Disneyland so guests can at least see the personal car regularly. Well, the current passenger cars went into service from 2014-2020 so they are not very old, but they are in pretty bad shape already. I just don't like the curved window corners of the newest two coaches that went into service 2019-2020. They match well with the diesel engine, but not so much the steam engines as the window corners look too "mechanical."

@@nathanjackson7992 you should visit Huckleberry Railroad near Flint, MI where historic passenger coaches are used. Though the steam engines are down at the moment.

1: it looks like they are going slower through the tunnel under tron. wonder if someone knows if they changed the speed limit 2: it seems that roy got roger's whistle

1: that’s a good question why trains do not speed up until after the Tron tunnel. 2: they did change #4’s whistle sometimes last month or so. What do you think about the new spiel?

Yes, it does appear that the Railroad needs more crew and I sure can tell that the engineer was a trainee as the train was not pulled properly in Frontierland and the crew behind the engineer had to remind her to blow the whistle at the end. Thanks for watching!

I love how the bell and whistle is distinct from the other engines, though it can use some love and care. Walter replaced Roy today.

Yeah the new narration sounds a bit boisterous, though better than Disneyland’s rather monotonous narration. The engines are wonderful!

The Railroad turned 50 in 2013, so they affixed the bell to the front car, but as far as I am concerned, it was starting to get annoying after all these years they decided to take it off.

They have never said "all aboard" and there really is no reason to with the way the spiel is set up. The bell was add to allow a "guest conductor" to think they were high balling the train.

#7 is my favorite if I had to choose one, but #1: Edison, the engine currently running, is a close second. #3: Torch Lake is the oldest continually operating steam engine in the US. These are the three operating steam engines at Greenfield Village. A diesel engine is available as a backup engine.

It would be fascinating to see that Mason Bogie engine operate in person (I really think she would fit the aesthetic of a northwestern logging operation). At the museum, do they have any display or make note of Walt and Ward's visit there in '48?

@@WaltsNephew they do have trains on display in the Museum including the gigantic Allegheny and the Sam Hill, which is a full-scale version of the C.K. Holliday, but I do not know of any reference to Walt’s visit.
