Driving in most cities its a crawl. All you need is a comfortable couch on 4 wheels. If you want a sports car buy a sports car. The asx is the most practical and reliable car on the market. That's why they haven't changed it in 14 years. The market just keeps buying it

2:36. Pretty basic cars. No power anything or air-con. This one seems to have 2nd and 3rd gear delete. I put aftermarket air-con in mine.

No spare...Cannot imagine it in South Africa on a family trip. And then there is the poor BMW reliability. Pity, because it drives really well.

I am a Japanese car guy, but this is the worst car ever. After 3 days I hate it, and it is ready to be sold off. The car is heavy as a oil tanker, and so is the stearing and the lack of respons. There is nothing sportyness about the driving at all. Al electronics are slow. Everything from pushing the car keys to get the door unlocked to the infotainment system. It is extremely slugish. The CVT is absolutely a turn off. The car feels like a diesel and also sounds like one. Acceleration reminds me of a vacuum cleaner. It sucks you forward. The sport button does nothing more than rising the rpm with 1000 while still going at the same speed. No harder stearing or other ecu program stepping in. Only nice thing is going forwards at high speed, but that is about it. Also looks nice. This could have been THE CAR, but everyone except the designer team screwd up.

I had a series 1 (2018) manual and recently traded it for a new series 2 auto. Both gearboxes are excellent, neither is a bad choice, and it just depends what your priorities are. The manual is more engaging, and more fun on the right road, but the auto is easier to live with if the car is your daily driver. It's also faster off the line and slightly quieter on the motorway due to the 5th and 6th gear ratios and final drive being more favorable for cruising. Fuel economy is about the same in both but you can get a little more frugality from the manual if you try really hard at it e.g. by engine braking whenever possible and religiously shifting up as soon as your pass 2000rpm, so the engine doesn't build too much boost amd thus start to suck more fuel. It's not a fun way to drive though and you don't save much so you may as well just drive it as it was meant to be driven. Better off with the new swift hybrid if you want to drive like a granny.

Had 2 GTi's in the early 2000's, a 92 GTi custom turbo and a '94 GTi, probably the best cara I've owner, sadly, had to sell them. Then later in late 2000's, found myself a '92 Cultus Convertible (aka Swift convertible) it didnt take long to replace all the running gear to GTi spec, as everything just bolted straight on, these where CVT auto, but changed it over to manaul. Power Steering with Air Con, what more could I want? Then the power bug got me and eventually turboed it, what a fun little car. Sold that, and have been wanting another Swift for ages, my brother had a 2010 Swift, great car, and with the Booster Jet engine, I think it's time for me to get another Swift, I would love the Sports.

You guys do fabulous reviews with some great Aussie banter! We're very excited waiting for our new 2024 Outlander Aspire to be delivered. We were ready to go with an LS Black Edition because of those heated hybrid fake leather suede seats but we got a good deal on the Aspire with tow bar, nudge bar and proper tinted widows. For an extra $3000 above the LS you get a lot for features so it was a no brainier to spend the extra on the Aspire. Keep up the good work boys.

Absolutely love your videos and all your constructive banter. I agree with you that the Elite is the sweet spot, although I'd prefer to spend the extra $2K on something else or even put it towards a Highlander. The Kia Sportage SX+ offers similar features. What are your thoughts on that car?

Nice review. As a 50 something guy, I’ve owned over 30 cars and never purchased the same vehicle twice. Until this one. Having the original 2017 model, it has been replaced with the 2023. Plus I’ve had cars worth more than twice this, yet bang for bucks and the questions I still get just sums it up as an all round car. At 189 cms, I can also comfortably sit behind my driving position. Sadly, it’s the end of an era and I’m not ready to go electric just yet.

You can't take it through serious water or mud there is no under car protection you will drown it. The reversing camera is pathetic at night and in rain you can't see a thing. The interior lights are as dim as a candle. The seats are not soft leather they are quite. hard. Major work on the engine will be costly because of the lack of space under the bonnet. Et etc etc.

I'm in the market for a second hand car. Option 1: 2021 Tucson Highlander with nline and 1.6ltr turbo engine for $42k on road Option 2: 2020 Mazda CX9 Azami with 23000 Ks For $42k then plus on road costs. I'm so confused and have no real mechanically minded help

Here in the U.S. Mitsubishis are not very popular. I bought a used 2019 ASX 2.4 litre engine (called an Outlander Sport here) and just took it in for its 60,000 mile check up and nothing is wrong! Besides doing the normal maintenance, brakes, oil, and transmission fluid changes it's a great car! I did replace the transmission fluid with 100% synthetic and it runs much smoother and quieter. The only thing I don't like is there doesn't seem to be a lot of accessories that you can get here in the U.S.

Great car...when it is working. We're having an epidemic of i20N fuel pump failures in Australia which has left myself and an ever growing number of other i20N owners with no car and currently no idea when they will be fixed. Head on over to Hyundai i20N owners club Australia to see for yourself.

Honestly the space isn't that much different. I've tried the i30N and i20n before my Kona n. . It's nitpicking really when it comes down to it. You can drop the boot floor in the kona n as well. Plus no rear strut bar compared to the hatch and especially the sedan.

Pretty strange review this is probably one of the loudest cars I’ve ever owned driving on the freeway, the 19 inch wheels are paired very poorly with the pirrelis. The road noise and vibration through the steering wheel due to the low profile tyres is INSANE Fuel economy non freeway is closer to 12 on average all day long

I bought the 2023 nline premium in manual. If I want sport mode, I use my right foot and left hand differently. Also, it doesn't come with adaptive cruise control which is by far the most stupid thing ever in a car. Imagine being behind someone and you are always changing speed. A bloke I work with has this feature and because of this, he always drives in the right lane on the highway. Yes, he is an arse. As for the ride comfort, I thought it was fine, and even took it on a bumpy gravel road, no problem. One thing it doesn't have, is blind spot monitoring. That's ok, just search for wing mirror setup for blind spots. It changed my driving forever.

Cool preserved example. Yeah, no power everything on that model, 80s ushered in that era and plenty of models did, you needed a ghia etc We had an import Isuzu Aska 84 and it had everything. SE Sigmas had everything. Top end and spec small cars were loaded. TX3 was hot hatch market, maybe that would've pushed the cost up too much?
