What a great and professional cnc! i am thinking about buying the fs4mg frame. Did you need to adjust or shim the rails or where they spot on from the factory ?
@andreas_werkstatt2 ай бұрын
Hi, if you buy rails and ball screws with the machine frame from the manufacture, they will come adjusted and dialed-in. Well within industry tolerances.

@andreas_werkstatt awesome, thought it looked familiar! Just picked up an A35 with 119:1 ratio for the exact same purpose. Are you belt driving from the motor?

Yes, I'm using an HTD belt to connect the motor to the drive. You will find some better pictures of the insides on my instagram (link in bio).

@andreas_werkstatt any chance you can elaborate on the internals? You mentions it's a Cyclo-Drive? Is that a Sumitomo gear box/reducer? And does it have any brake on it? Any extra bearings and spindle or is it stiff enough that you can mount your flange straight onto it? All best and well done:)
@andreas_werkstatt Жыл бұрын
Hi, you can find a bit more details on my instagram page. instagram.com/andreas_werkstatt/ I believe it is a Sumitomo F2C-A25 drive and I don't use any extra bearing or brakes. But you can see all that on Instagram.
@AntiVaganza Жыл бұрын
@@andreas_werkstatt Just added you yesterday and will have a peak around but thank so much for confirming the Sumi drive and that it doesn't need any extra support:). I can get Harmonic Drives used and at good prices easily and while the HD have zero backlash I hear their rigidity, perhaps in torsion, is not as good as an RV/cycloidal drive. I reckon it's for the same reason you went with the latter? Sadly, RV drives do not come cheap even secondhand;)
