@Vouwfiets93 ай бұрын
Hi! The build was quite straightforward. 18 mm MDF all around, baffle 18 mm MDF plus 12 birch ply, so 30 mm in total. Internal bracing and I kept the measurements of the TL 1. Pricewise I can't afford building a true TL1 as well, hence the shortcuts I took. I can email you pictures of the build if you like.

Nice set up. How do you like it for moving coil compared to your other phono preamps? KZbinr 6am also liked the Douk for moving coil. Just ordered one for my Rega 3 with an AT-OC9EB. We’ll see how it works out.
@Vouwfiets93 ай бұрын
Thanks! The main reason why I bought this Douk is the impedance loading options for MC. Have been searching for the optimal value for my DL-103r and 220 Ohm is the sweet spot for me. Also I like the look and the VU meter. 🙂 It is no as quiet as my other preamps. On high volumes (volume at 12 o'clock) there is a distinct hiss. But I never play that loud, so no problem. Sound is superduper in my opinion, very airy.

Out of the box, no contest. The Lintons are far, far superior. The CV I had to room EQ, they sounded slightly bland and muffled right out of the box. They can go crazy loud though and with REQ were very, very capable speakers. I prefer the Lintons, they don't need anything, they just make music.

@xfx9902 жыл бұрын
what is the crossover ?? custom design ?
@Vouwfiets92 жыл бұрын
It's not an analoque filter. Crossover frequencies are set by a DBX 234XS (high-mid-low) and level correction by means of a Behringer DEQ 2496 DSP.
@jarogugol51872 жыл бұрын
did behringer contribute a lot to your kit? what has been changed? do you recommend it for home audio system?
@Vouwfiets92 жыл бұрын
The behringer is not there to contribute, it is an essential part of the system. With the DBX I decide the crossover frequencies and the gain of mid/high/low. With the Behringer I control the frequency spectrum, as an equalizer, and as room correction. It helps me get a flat frequency. In a 'normal´ set up the Behringer definitely helps to get better sound in room.
