Great review of this wonderful town that not many people who I know seem to have discovered because they head elsewhere to more popular seaside locations along the South Wales Coastline. This seems a similar situation across the water in North Somerset with Portishead and Clevedon. To me this makes it more special for those who have taken the time to seek out these rather special places that people like myself love to visit.

Yes, alot of towns in Wales had such a strong influence during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Without penarth or other small Welsh towns, Cardiff wouldn't be such a major city. I had relatives who came from Penarth. Times do change, and with technology being what it is today, they sadly become hidden away. Thank you for the support!

Thank you for the positive feedback. I live in Cardiff so the recommendations made are from what I have witnessed in person. I have now figured out how to improve the audio quality and will be doing something similar for barry island 😊

A great video thanks for sharing! I hope to visit again one day (only visiting briefly years ago for the Dr. Who Experience) - can I ask, how easy is it to travel in Cardiff accessibility wise, including the connectivity of public transport e.g to get to a green space? Thanks!

I would definately download the Cardiff bus app to see live times for busses and their exact location. Between monday to saturday theres around 4 or 5 in circulation on a single route (which means a bus usually every 10 to 15 minutes) There is a newly built bus depot in the city centre which has made it easier. Around 10 taxis also line up outside the castle entrance which you can walk up to for an instant ride. Here are some bus routes for green spaces: For st fagans museum - bus 32 is direct (every hour) For roath park - bus 57/58 will get you close to roath park with a 15 minute walk (shows every 10 minutes) and 28/29 is direct to roath park (every 40 minutes) Victoria park is on the canton route which is 17/18 bus route (every 10 minutes) Bute park is in the city centre along with cardiff castle (which a train/bus will take you directly from any stop) Cardiff bay bus 8/9 from the centre (9 is every 15 minutes) but walking to cardiff bay should only take around 20 minutes from the centre. I would suggest always checking the live times on the cardiff bus app before you go. If you have a car, parking may be a challenge and you will likely need to pay to park at some of these places.
