i wanna say this i wasnt born yet when cliff died but at the age of 8 years old i became a metallica fan my dad made me one and glad i was introduced to them they are my fav band and i grew up loving the bass sounds and after learning he passed away and how devastated me he was truly a badass bassiest one of if not the best bass player to ever bass

There's nothing that stands out in this riff , it's basic bass playing . Are any of you musicians ? The bass player for Dream Theater is what I consider world class . Cliff isn't even sitting at the same table as the other guys I mentioned . Not a hater , just realistic .

Way to much bass and it’s drowning out the guitars and drums a little.

And Lars was still a dickhead back then. RTL and MOP already started showing muted bass lines. It's only in the remastered versions that you can sort of hear it.
