On my motocross racing engines I take an old reed and cut it straight across were the reeds actually start flexing. the top part with the screw holes that is. Then put the shortened reed OVER the new reeds. This usually gives a crisper response and allows the reeds to operate at a higher Rpm. Ps dont go without a real silencer on your pipe. They actually give MORE bottom end if packed well without sacrificing but like 1% top end power. ....I saw a lil 100cc (forget what brand) a while back and bought it for this same reason. just havent gotten around to machining the mounts / putting it on a bicycle. I wanted to do a disc side drive with a clutch/sprag on the drive side at the wheel so I can pedal without dragging the extra chain all the time when the engines off. Hopefully one day cross paths ,Cya!

Try to put a solid piece of metal, flat where you can sit the engine. Then you can drill holes and bolt the engine on the flat surface

It's works good for top lifters ect to be lubed so I did take out the check valve and that was a problem I have a inline valve it needs to be able to breathe you can do it without removing the check valve out the valve cover that's a better route or do as I did and run a catch can as I will it for looks make it look better to me
@Stealthhayes9314 күн бұрын
@edle7663 i have no doubt that engine runs it clearly seems like you know what your doing. So are you saying I can run lines like that with the check valve still installed? Did you buy this as a catch can kit or fabricate it all up yourself? I'll watch any 196cc video you put out as I'm tearing my bt200x down right now. Hopefully the hisun motor has bearings installed cause I rode hard before deciding to tear down and have seen videos where engines like these are missing stuff sometimes. Last question I think I have an oil leak and you mentioned the case seal did that leak out the bottom primarily? Thank you
@edle766314 күн бұрын
@@Stealthhayes93 I made it they sale them I just like to hand make stuff an save money so I used brass fittings drill it 3/8 and force them in didn't even tapp it out so I may catch a lil oil around the fittings but my oil leak was a blown seal behind the flywheel thata a block someone had it on Facebook marketplace for 10$ I had all the parts cause I had a blown up 196 off a ct200u that was done last year all of that was done to make it look cool
@edle766314 күн бұрын
@@Stealthhayes93you can run it with the check valve still in the cover just don't remove it an put them further up then I did I'll make a video of it to show you cause I have another valve cover but to fix the problem of removing the covers check valve I put a one way check valve on the tube coming out the cover I have put a bolt in the tube pretty much blocking any oil are air from coming out but the engine need to breathe so it blew out the old raggedy seal so I put the one out of my blown motor witch was still good and bought a inline one way check valve
@edle766314 күн бұрын
@@Stealthhayes93 oil leak could be 3 the side cover gasket but that's not likely unless it was opened up and didn't replace the gasket most likely a bad seal so I would take off the pullstart an look for oil or moisture also use a light and look behind the flywheel see if the seal is out or if the flywheel is oily it should be dry everything would get oil on it with seal leak as the clutch and flywheel will fling oil over your hole engine once it sits for awhile oil will drip down leaving a puddle underneath also double check the oil drain bolts tight hope that helps I'll make a video soon an explain it better to
@Stealthhayes9314 күн бұрын
@edle7663 ill check your video. Still working on removing the engine from the frame and while I can't see where the oil is coming from i have oil everywhere under the engine.
