Not sure I have ever expressed how proud I am to have helped THE Neal Adams in his creations. And a BIG kiss to my good friend Joel who is a kind and sweet soul, an artist in his own right that I'm sure his dad is proud of. Love you Beast, your lil bit Jenny :) ♥♥

I used to feel bad having a photo reference on me. I mean you don't have to trace the drawing but use it as reference.

Ah! the good old fashioned HUMAN HAND! not photoshop, not binary code - just pure art without its modern day nursemaid doing everything for it.

Great old school Painting. Most of the comics done today use computers which are quicker and more cost effective!!

And look like shite. Most of the new "artists" don't even know proper anatomy or color theory.

I know this is coming a tad late but have you seen the finished painting? It doesn't look that weird there, not to me at least. Supergirl's entire face looks somewhat darker and different toned in that one. Check it out if you can find it.

Looks like he inked first - how does he keep the ink from smudging in the water?

Waterproof ink? Just a wild guess.

@kariswg1 I've seen how Neal's mind works in his expanding Earth guff. He should stick to drawing, which at least he has some talent in.

Neal is a commercial artist first and foremost. He uses watercolor, dyes, acrylics, white out, and just about anything that will get the desired effect. This short video combines over 40 years of experience, to get a SMALL glimpse of how Neal's mind works. I would love to see more.

Neal Adams is really good, in our channel we interviewed Esteban Maroto, another genius of the comics, in fact they worked together in X Infinito. During the interview Maroto says that Neal is one of the best.

This is fun to watch. Not having this dvd, I'm curious - Does Neal tell the audience what weight, and type of paper he is coloring on? That makes a big difference how the watercolour, and ink will blend, and set-up.
