My mother's name was Laura. If a woman named Laura gave me life, it would be wonderfully fitting that another Laura kept it going. We spend our entire lives gathering knowledge, honing skills and becoming better people able to give back to society, and then in a second it's all gone, death steals it all away. That's not right. The universe is just beginning to open up to us, there is so much to learn, discover and explore. Ask any old person and they will say"It went by so fast." Life has always been much too short. One, the most important question, is missing: why? Why humans should create a technology which will permit them to simulate real life, when that REAL LIFE is already here?! I, for one, welcome death. I commend those who seek to prolong our life here on this planet, but death and the ensuing judgement is inevitable. I have listened to some doctors claim we have the DNA capacity to live well into our 100's and if you take the Biblical history as accurate, we lived several hundred years. But death will come and I welcome it.

While she's at it let's go for figuring out a neat way of establishing fair means of implementing involuntary Euthanasia across the planet.

yeah you'd have to, in order to keep things in balance until you could figure out how to keep a sustainable population growth. By sustainable, I mean, growth that is at a rate commensurate with the ability for the underlying means of production required to sustain their existence to expand. Tl;dr we'd have to leverage the longevity of human life, to live on other planets.

The fix to this is to make a rule that you can't have kids and be immortal at the same time.

She stopped going to MIT (sophomore in physics, may never return) in order to pursue a two year 100K Thiel Fellowship. Laura's research led to her extending the lives of some worms by 10 times. Laura wants to extend the human lifespan by a few more centuries at least.

This is awesome. I hope she's the first person to try this so she can be that hot forever. Though, at the same time, this will inevitably lead to wasting resources on the decrepit, as we do now only partially. A planned euthanasia would be implemented and she will be responsible for the next great genocide of our time.
