Well I'm very loyal to the original HEXBUG but if I'm being completely honest I think I like the new one a little better, just because of its design

I can’t pair my remote to the spider, even after charging the spider for a long time. Do you know how this might be remedied?

Did you put batteries in the remote? I'm sure you did, I'm just not sure what else the problem could be. If it just refuses to connect no matter what you do, I think it would be worth it to get a replacement, as I've never seen that happen before.

Sometimes taking all the batteries out and putting them in again can fix problems with electronics in general - it's kind of like resetting it. And is there any chance you put the batteries in the remote wrong?

It's not the latest... HEXBUG changed it's name to HEX BOTS and since then they've released a new product, it's a gecko
