Good content n8 , I’ve got 5 mondeo st220’s (4) of them are estates there a good revvy motor , I’ve got garages n garages of spares so if u need any parts for the engine / gearbox let me know m8 I can pm u my number got some good (5) speed boxes ( there a closer ratio than the 6 speed m8 and keeps it in the rev range better , can see u have the 5 speed box in already ( mtx75) due to where the starter motor is , in reguards to where yr engine mount is bolted/ secured on yr inner wing I see u have consigns about the mounting ( strength) of the inner wing , on the 220’s m8 that big rubber mount sits on a steel reinforced plate that unbolts from the car I have them if u need them they can be easily fabricated to fit the focus 👍👍 cheers dunk

Nice one Ade I will look forward to seeing it. I think you have created some really good show stoppers especially when it comes to rally cars or rally lookalikes. think you have proven you don't need a super expensive car for it to stand out and look good. I will also really look forward to that classic as I love classic cars. I will also recommend Lanoguard as it costs so little for rust protection and its easy to apply. as for wheels maybe 18 will be a bit too much and might slow it down. I put on wheels that looked a bit too big on my k11 Micra and it kind of looks odd. I would probably go for 15 maybe 16 and add some lowering springs or coil overs to remove that arch. that's just me personally but its down to you and you have a lot more experience building cars

312bhp 545nm 1150kg ibiza pd 130 as a daily here still achieving 50mpg 💪 only downside is turbo stall with cruise control on😂 and judder in cabin

Unfortunately my bonnet release has broken and I can’t get under my bonnet now , does anyone have any idea how to do it without destroying the front end of my car

You need to pull the top grille out at the bottom where it meets the bumper, you will be able to unclip it and pull it away a few inches, then you have to break or pull the cable housing out and you can then open it with a screwdriver

@ yep I did that , fixed the lock and didn’t break anything on my car (apart from the old lock ) I also got the whole grill off as the 2 screws under the bonnet can be lifted upwards with a screwdriver or something and pop out as they aren’t actually screws as such just helps to get the whole grill off and easier to access/ smash the old lock off

Your a brave or rich man running this as a daily. Mine I use a few times a month great cars just drink fuel like an alcoholic. As a you know can't use the E10 has to be the good stuff. But I guess the smiles per gallon are worth the extra cash....

Easy enough and looks great. Black hardware to replace the chrome one would make the install more stealth.

We see what you are saying, but as you can tell there’s not much that’s stealthy about this car haha, we want it loud and to turn heads, the MGC wings are absolutely amazing and so easy to fit

Thank you, yes its st170 powered but we are considering adding a turbo or throttle bodies, we haven’t decided which yet 😎 we have many crazed projects waiting to be started too haha

@ obviously somebody as knowledgable as you will already be aware that cosworth actually designed the ST170 engine.. and also if you struggle to get an ST170 up a hill then you aren’t driving it how it’s meant to be driven, at the end of the day this is not a competitive rally car, it’s a replica built with the help of students who have autism and adhd and struggle in a school environment, but thanks for your comment 👍
