Wait... there are ads right in the middle of the movement?!!! At least put them between the movements or something! That's truly jarring!😱

What a superb quartet. They interpreted this lovely work so in keeping with the score, yet they gradually added depth and colour sometimes unexpectedly, in a way that lifted the whole for me. And wow! That glorious last movement. Thanks.

Love the music. On a completely non-musical note: when there is a female player she is usually the only one dressed in a colour - the men are all in black. It would be a nice change if the female was the only one in black.

Of all German composers this one moves me the most. He expressess the quintessence of the German mind. Allow me to admit that I am German. This search for perfection, the doubting the carefull approach. Germans have not always been in the trenches killing fellow Europeans or desighning a new car. We have feelings too. And, in my opinion they are not best expressed by the often too brash Beethoven or the honeydripping Mozart but by Brahms. I am of course only talking of the intelligent part of the population. The rest drugthemselves with something they call: Deutsche Schlager. Better never try to listen to it . You would be scarred for life. People who listen to Schlager think that covid19 was invented by Bill Gates. The believe that the AfD will win the Gerneral Election one day and then Hitler will be recreated from DNA that is hidden nearby Hitlers estate in Berchtedgaden. But don´t worry about them. As they don´t believe that covid 19 is dangerous all of them will die this year. But I wanted to talk about Brahms. All his sinfonies are very nourishing for the mind. Enjoy.

I felt impressed until the last movement, however sometimes I was disoriented in pulsation, too much fog. I was playing it and I really cannot remember in the final those all ornaments and appoggiaturas. And, well, someone can say it's fastest one. No, it isn't. I find it more klezmer, no gipsy style.
