hi Emmanuel, looks so nice! Love your attitude of learning new things! If I may recomend some things, maybe you find a way to temporary fix your tiller in place during some manvers... a rope from one side of teh boat to the other may do the trick, so you gain sime time where the boat will not turn exessively while you handle the sheets. Maybe a tiller extension is also a good thing as you are sailing onehanded. And one thing is really important, please do waer a life preserver or even better an automatic vest. I do not want to be the safty sally here, but falling of a boat that you sail allone will leave a drifting boat (that you probably can not reach swimming) and a barely vissible tiny head in the cold ocean... ahoi!
@MannyReyes
@MannyReyes 3 ай бұрын
Thanks. I used to use a line to keep the tiller in place but thought it might get tangled at the wrong time and so I don't do it as often. A tiller extension might be the way to go. Yes, I definitely need to get in the habit of using a life jacket for sure. Ahoi!

You know what's curious? A couple few years ago, they started pushing this climate change narrative, real hard, and when nobody believed them, all the forests started burning. I believe that they are purposely setting the fires, not all of them. Some have been lit by lightning or careless campers, but the Majority of them, I guarantee you, we're set by people paid by the government.
@MannyReyes

I wouldn't put it past them. For some questionable people, it's more about pushing a narrative rather than solving problems.

You bought the maestro? I thought all you needed was the PAC steering wheel control interface for the steel wheel buttons to work? You need the maestro? I have a Jeep and was thinking about getting this unit. Would you recommend?
@MannyReyes
@MannyReyes Жыл бұрын
I think you can do it with the interface but I just went with the maestro so that I could check tire pressure, gauges, towing load and it also tells me when doors are open as well as a ton of other stuff. I use my Jeep to tow and other things so I wanted all the features but you might not need the maestro if you don't think those things.

I am thinking of coming to Costa Rica for a vacation and to do some fishing in September 2022. Is September a good time to come and do some fishing in Costa Rica? What kind of fish can I expect to catch from shore? I am thinking of staying at Riu Guancaste, is your fishing spot far from the hotel where we are thinking of staying? Any information you can supply me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, regards and take care.

lug worms and blood worms both work alright. Let me know if you want to fish LJ, SSC, MB or other areas a shot around San Diego, I'm an old hand down here.. best of luck with your channel.. If you really want a snag resistant weight, use steel, it doesn't wedge very hard in the rocks, fished a set of reefs and tidepools in LJ today for about 3-4 hours in heavy eel grass and didn't lose a single weight or hook, other than one I donated to a calico I didn't want to kill... steel for the win...

Try avoiding laying your reel on the sand. You don't want sand to get into your bearings and ruin your reel. Use a towel, sheet, etc. to put down on the sand first then put your pole down if you don't have a rod holder. Use your backpack to prop your pole & reel up if you must.
