The stretch shell material goes on the bottom of the fly which would be toward the bottom when fished? Please clarify 🙂 I like this tie due to simplicity and just bought jigs for them. Thanks !

Yeah the shell is supposed to be on the top, but I tied it on the bottom so I just turned it around.

I've just started tying crappie jigs and I'm having trouble with my string breaking. I'm using a bobbin I purchased at bass pro and 140 line. When I start wrapping, the line will break every time. Suggestions because this is very frustrating. Thx

I just started learning to tie my own crappie jigs. This channel is by far the best one I've watched for getting ideas on what colors to try but also in teaching about tying. What I would like to know is where do you normally buy your supplies, like the maribou and dubbing materials specifically. Thanks for a great channel !
