Nice method for a collapsible & easy to set up/tear down & pack show shelving. Good info about the taping/fit. But recommend for Rev 2 adding trim (wood or even wide ribbon) to the front edge to cover the battens... (And love those chocolate bars!!!)

I just followed you step by step...I am embarrassed to say I've had my mixer for 30 years and was about to ask for a professional cleaning of it for Christmas. I have always wiped it clean and used a toothpick to get in the crevasses- I was super surprised that I didn't find more gunk inside as I use it 4-5 times a week. Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial.

You are they most incredible imaginative cake creater that I have the privilege to not only follow but to be one of your brigadiers. Each cake is a masterpiece in its own but I really love the antique book cake. The realism of them the color combination the decor that you add and the little surprise guys. You have such dedication to drive your masterpieces over 7 hours to the anticipation of the happy couple. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜

Amazing to see my daughter & son in laws cake....the beautiful book stack. It looked stunning on their wedding day, it seemed a shame to cut it, although it tasted delicious 😊 Really interesting to see you working on it as well, you are a true artist 😊

These are so fun!! I love them both!! Might I ask how you attached the skull without it causing sagging, and keeping it perfectly in place? Amazing!

Thank you! Sure, the skull itself was rick krispies to keep it lightweight, and the cake it was going on was covered in ganache which helps with the stability. I then anchored 2 kebab sticks into the skull down at an angle into the cake rather than going in straight, and stuck it with ganache. xx

hi! did you rent a boat for the whole week? was it $$$? would you recommend it? do you need a special boater's license? if you had a choice to go to spain or lake como in april which woudl you choose?

Hi! No we just rented it for a few hours and that was enough, no special license but you do have to fill in a bit of paper work and have ID etc. It was a little chilly at Lake Como in April - if I was to go again I'd aim for maybe May/June for warmer temps :D

I did shows for 40 years as a chocolatier. I stopped putting butter in the rice crispy because I found it made them soft because your adding moisture to it per se. But I also dipped mine all in chocolate so it preserved it for longer.

Yes, I leave the butter out for when I'm sculpting with RKT for cake elements, it doesn't fall apart as much! haha x
