You took the projection stone from White Hole Station to some completely random scroll wall lol, it's not supposed to be blank, most players use White Whole Station to warp to Brittle Hollow while holding the projection stone and put it in the scroll wall reader near that warp destination. It's not obvious I guess but the projection stones record conversations separately per scroll wall, I suppose the idea is that they record what's spoken while people are using the projection pool so it logs the conversation. It just happens that you normally always put the projection stones in the correct scroll wall reader by happenstance and you almost never notice that it's per-location, since none of the projection stones have multiple logs saved. You taking the projection stone to some incredibly difficult to reach scroll wall is not what the devs had in mind XD

I think I just literally never realized there was a scanner on the other side of the white hole station warp, and honestly the thought never even occurred to me that a projection stone would display different things at different walls.

1:07:00 it's funny seeing people not know what to do with the Starlit Cove forbidden knowledge, some people legitimately just think at first that it's a lore explanation for why there are still people in the dream world, not something they can act on. This place confused me when recording but in hindsight it's very much so signifies the inhabitants as a whole. So much loss, so much destruction, and yet they still cling to this last little speck of beauty amidst. The Eye of the universe did not offer them anything except a greater appreciation of what they once had, the tragedy is they gave up what they had to seek the Eye. So now all they have is a memory - like a shielded painting preserved in the ruins of a long burnt house fire.
@LB_

@@ZailsTales Interesting interpretation! The working theory in the community was that this building was used by the missing Inhabitant (the one whose spot is empty in the Cinder Isles tower basement) and that they were the only one to see something more to the vision that made the rest so upset. That something more they saw was depicted in that painting. As for why that person's place was burned, and why their spot is now empty, well, future episodes will cover that...

18:37 it is actually possible, albeit difficult, to use this elevator and a few others. However, it's not intended to do so, and you only get one chance per loop anyway, making it far from ideal. @LB_
@LB_ 16 күн бұрын
@@ZailsTales It is kind of an obscure reference relating to fan theories about what's going on with Deltarune. The dream world in EotE can be thought of as analogus to a Deltarune dark world (and, amusingly, the dream world is quite dark during the 22 minute window in which we see it). So if you could enter a deeper dream world by resting at a dream world fire... well, I suppose I could have referenced the movie Inception too, but quoting Gaster was my first thought.

Starlit Cove is by far the most difficult area IMO. The design/layout is confusing (though they did improve it a bit with patches), and there is no stealth bypass puzzle to solve, you just have to learn the stealth mechanics (and they made this more difficult with patches). Gonna try and keep this as a single comment this time... 13:37 not gonna tell them about any new discoveries? 23:23 usually I see people walk into them themself, you're the first I've seen use the scout to test heh. 27:29 good timing to have Giant's Deep visible through the window in the background just as you're reading about it! 28:58 this is one of the interesting things they changed in a patch for Echoes of the Eye. Originally, it would put out numerous Eye orbitals at once, constantly adding and removing them. The devs stated the original idea was that they were "too close" to the Eye so the signal was coming from everywhere at once. The Nomai computer next to this interface also didn't exist before, leaving it rather ambiguous as to what the animation meant. 32:30 I was just looking at that too! Certainly a lot of impressive shader work, though there are imperfections (especially related to the ship's tractor beam when overlapping with other effects, sorta like how Minecraft for a long time had issues with stained glass and water). 39:06 positive outlook on life XD 50:25 oh dear! It appears slow caution has its downsides in the oxygen department... I forgot about that while watching too... 52:04 :'( 1:03:45 XD 1:07:54 a lot of people, upon seeing a third activated statue and correlating it with the third activated mask, assume there must be a third person linked with it and wandering around somewhere... 1:11:29 109 minus 54 equals 55, divide that by your 16 episodes for an average of 3~4 loops per episode :)

1:19:00 haha, funnily enough most players just assume there must be another invisible bridge there, and are pressured to test that theory due to the threat of the inhabitant behind them. That inhabitant almost never gets anyone so I'm pretty sure the devs just put them there to encourage players to test the invisible bridge theory. Though I have seen a few players end up trying to check behind where the inhabitant came from, thinking it's where they need to go, but that just leads to some secret shenanigans. The devs changed the design of the room to reduce the amount of frustration in that regard.

1:18:15 glad you figured out where the sweet spot was heh. This isn't the intended way to get to the Forbidden Archive the first time though, but it is intended for subsequent revisits, since you would only know about this invisible bridge after learning what's in the Forbidden Archive. If you don't already know the intended solution for the first time, you can either try to figure it out yourself or I can explain it if you want (or it will be explained in the Andrew Cunningham video I mentioned in the other comment).

1:12:19 this section used to be much more interesting as there used to be two inhabitants here and if one saw you they'd call out and communicate with the other and they would perform a pincer maneuver on you. Really cool AI interaction. Unfortunately when the devs saw that a majority of players thought the stealth approach was the only viable path, they redesigned this area and removed one of the inhabitants, removing that interaction entirely, so as to try and make this approach easier. Stealth wasn't intended to be a good solution but I suppose they preferred reducing player frustration over encouraging the actual intended solution. Though, there is some debate about the devs' intended solutions in this regard and why they made the changes they did. Andrew Cunningham made an interesting video about it all that you might like after you've finished playing.

I've never been a huge fan of stealth elements in games that aren't built from the ground up to have them. If the devs took any stealth elements out of this game then I consider it an improvement.
