I disagree. JK being JM’s vocal couch he was suggesting to JM that he needed to change a certain way he uses his voice. At the time this conversation occurred both JK & V were allowed to get voice training when JM ask Bang Si-hyuk if he could also get voice lesson’s he was turned down. ( I often wondered why no one asked Bang why he refused JM) I think I know the answer now. Bang heard JM’s singing voice in 2013 his first audition, savvy Bang knew JM’s voice was to beautifully unique to allow anyone to ruin it, he recognized JM’s perfect pitch, pure clean light tenor voice that was so seductive it could seduce you. While I appreciate young JK himself in voice training trying to teach JM what he himself had just learned. Me a fan listening to what JK was critical about, from just listening to JM’s singing in this video you knew he had a beautiful voice. I’m glad he didn’t listen to JK’s advice and followed his own path. In my opinion Big Hits kept putting pressure on Jimin as a trainee that if he didn’t improve he would be cut from the team, I don’t think JM was ever at risk of being cut, they learned watching him what a perfectionist he was and wanted him to surpass the rest of the BTS members because Bang wanted that rookie JM to be lead singer and dancer, which is what JM became. According to Namjoon who stated that JM dominated the stage whether the rest of them were with him or not, he stated JM’s popularity was what raised the level of BTS and all of K-pop back then. Another thing expert after expert whose expertise in singing and dancing watching JM’s lead stage performances all stated they had never seen any group where the lead did both at the same time singing the song with perfect pitch after hard dancing. This shows the type of contribution JM had made over many years as lead singer and dancer.
