Could you do this road if you travaled at 140kmph without heating or anything, im considering into buying svartpilen but i am afraid that it will not support very long rides, for example 220km road with ups and down hills
@SamsSleds
@SamsSleds 9 ай бұрын
I think your L/100 (mpg) would explode at 140km/h (small engine) so you could not do 220km. But anyway, a naked is, in my book, too unconfortable at high speed for hours (windy day ever worst). About the heating, I bet it won't if you're not riding death valley. In the end, svart is not a good touring choice... but it can do it. (my friend on his 1290 adventure had a way easier/cozier day hahaha)
@Chevsilverado
@Chevsilverado 8 ай бұрын
It’ll do it but MPG will be ass like the other guy says. The bike is much happier at 120kmh and lower. Over 120 it has to push a little hard to keep its speed and being a small bike with no fairings it’s also uncomfortable. For extended riding 110 is where I keep it at. 220km at 140 kmh won’t happen without a trip to the gas station. If you want to cruise that long at that speed you need a larger bike.

It's my first bike ever so yes it's obviously the best haha. To be honest the biggest con for me is the fact that single cylinders are really not smooth and in Paris in big traffic when I'm switching between first and second gear, braking, switching gear again, I feel like I always need to use the clutch when I put gas again because if I don't the engine isn' happy. You can buy the two up seat, wich is way more comfy and easy to swap depending on your day plans. And you have to slowdown in corner because the summit is narrower.
