At 3:59 (bottom of page) how is barium sulfate toxic if it is given orally for diagnostic x-rays ? I like your DIY process.

Can i use hand pump,which we use to fill bicycle tires,instead of vaccum pump? + extremely helpful video, i would make one for my own lab. Also do you know how to make squirt bottle?
@gmonkman3 жыл бұрын
not really very easy to attach to the air inlet on all the handpumps i've seen.
@Prchemist063 жыл бұрын
@@gmonkman but I have only access to that only.
@gmonkman3 жыл бұрын
@@Prchemist06 well ok, find the inlet air valve for your pump and work out how to run a tube from that. You understand the general principle here? Pumping air out .... so any pump and airtight seals. The problem is the seals.

@@gmonkman Well,I will try to seal the holes with superglue,which takes 2 to 3 hours to dry.

Hey, do you need a buchner set up or would a piece of qualitative filter paper work? I currently gravity filter using qualitative filters or coffee filters depending on what I am trying to accomplish but my issue is trying to remove as much mold as possible from a solution of MAP/ADP. it takes a long time using our friend gravity as well as having to use multiple two liter bottles and having to watch out for cross contamination drives me up the wall. I guess the filter paper on top of the buchner piece would be just fine. Thanks for doing this.

This was an awesome tutorial, coming from a former high school science teacher. When will you be posting your stirrers, centrifuge, and carbon filter videos? Would love to build these with my kids for DIY home chemistry experiments.

Nice I thought of using an air matress pump for my ghetto vaccuum pump but I wasn't sure if it would work. Thanks to your video I know it'll work. Thanks! Also I hate filtering because it's so slow and I've wanted to make a vaccuum filter set up for a while now. So thanks
