i wasn't a big fan of sea cadets their was a lot of bullying at the unit i was at so i then quit and im now waiting for my start date for the royal navy so i did it without sea cadets but it was a fun experience apart from the bullying.

she was built in spain because it was a damn site cheaper to build . i spent 2 weeks on the original royalist in 1973 . joined her at Gourock Scotland . spent 2 weeks travelling around the lochs . down the irish sea to ramsey . isle of man . and then into liverpool . i am 65 now and never forgotten that trip . it was the maiden voyage if i remember right .

I am 42 and had a very illustrious career in the Royal Navy via University. It all started here! I've been on TS Royalist twice and the Marine cadets shaped me into the main I am today. Get involed.

Many moons ago I was in the air cadets. I was scared of heights, water and boats so I did an exchange with the sea cadets and spent a week aboard the original TS Royalist back in 2000. It was by far the very best week of my life and I always look back on it with very happy memories. Ignore the fears and just do it! You'll always regret the things you don't do far more than the ones you did.

Carl Nicholson I mean I’ve faced a lot of my fears before like jumping of a 60ft high cliff but I just think that I wouldn’t be able to do the working on the rigging whilst being that high
