That is one beautiful Nova. I came very close to owning a 1973 Olds Omega 2-Door hatchback last year. It’s definitely one that got away. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the right time at the time. I still think about it and what could’ve been.

Great show. Indeed the 67 is more sought after because of its one year only reputation, ( I know, I had one) but the 69 is a better choice because it has almost everything the 67 had, without the swing axle, and rid of the bumper overriders as with over time, the engine lid and the truck lid would hit them.Very cool restoration, and the addition of the disk brakes. Thought the car looks almost stock, I would have gone with the dual port heads, and the 34 PCIT carb, intead of the single port. Awesome still.

Anyone have an idea of what the side pieces where the headlights go, it’s right at 0:27. Looking for some replacements and can never find the name of the side pieces on the front.

351 windsor now over 500 c.i.? Come on, they don’t stroke that far. Or, are you saying 525 horsepower?

WAIT till you drive a 70-71 Torino GT, youll be dropping the fairlane off for a Torino. The 70-71 is the pinnacle of the fairlane/torino.

I like those seats. Sharp car. When I was growing up we had a 68 Fairlane with a stock 302 under the hood. It was a regular ol 4 door and nothing special. It was a very solid car with no AC and no power steering. It looked good too but not like the car in this video. I could spin the tires in the Oklahoma gravel but not on the pavement. 😅

Never heard of a 351 windsor punched out to 525 inches ...are you sure about that ???
@marcocruz34432 жыл бұрын
Have seen very few 525ci set ups and yes, he is sure about that. Listen to what he said. Blower is 174 and engine is a 351 add those up and that makes it a 525ci. A true 351 punched out to 525 when done correctly and you can get more by boring out heads as well. This set up you can tell was done professionally, very clean and done correctly. The engine clearly has a nice 174 supercharger up top. Maaaaan! Couldn’t believe it either but it’s true. Had to watch video like 15x’s Very NICE! what a beautiful set up on a beautiful car! LETS GO! Burn some more rubber!
@kirktitgen74532 жыл бұрын
@@marcocruz3443 you dont add 174 from the blower ....that doesn't count towards cubic inches of engine ....its still a 351 with a blower not a 525 ...ask anyone that knows what they are talking about
@marcocruz34432 жыл бұрын
@@kirktitgen7453 I’m a master technician with over 49yrs of mechanical experience. What do you do? There are only three ways to increase an engine's displacement: You can bore it (engine boring increases the cylinder diameters) or you can stroke it (engine stroking increases the crankshaft stroke) or you can add a sc. Most do all three to increase ci. Example some buy a 350 and increase ci to 383. Kirk, I’ll go with your opinion it’s a 351 w/ a sc. IYKYK
@quikmerc862 жыл бұрын
@@marcocruz3443 you do realize 460ci is the max for an aftermarket 351w block and 427ci is max with one of the better iron stock blocks and you can not add the size of the blower to the engine. That also isn't making 650hp with that baby blower on it.
@briansearles4473 Жыл бұрын
That was what I thought, 464 is the largest size I have seen and that was an aftermarket block bored and stroked to the max. Even 427 FE's rarely go above 496 CU. Also you need AFR or Trick Flow heads to make good power from a Ford Windsor.
