Did the same and paid $900 to build the same shed that would have been $6100 at Home Depot. It really isn't nearly as hard or as much work as it seems. If you have a good drill, impact driver and a circular saw AND you know how to use them, you can do this in a weekend with a friend. Do yourself a favor and use "deck restore" thick coating at least on the floor if not the ext walls too. You will thank yourself 10 years later.

To be honest about the baseboards; I have a rental and they installed new baseboards in the entire apartment. I’m reluctant to remove them because I’m not sure what is underneath them as the house has been renovated at certain areas. So for me the entire process of removing them and reinstalling is too much work, I’m placing the laminate flooring against the baseboards, fill the gap with back rod and put quarter rounds. If it wasn’t a rental and if the baseboards were old I would have removed them but now I opt for leaving them.😊

Could you not put the large grounded plug into the BOTTOM outlet , with the round smart plug in the TOP outlet?

I use Sanipex MT from GF-Piping Systems. You can assemble and disassemble joints a dozen of times and the smaller pipes are almost as easy to arrange as hoses. Additionally, you have no reduction of inner diameter through joints. PS: Sanipex also has push-in fittings for transition to copper pipes.

Skarkbite fitting are expensive versus just get a manual tool for Pex. And if your going to do the 500 dollar tool , you'll make it back on a that job or the next. Some places rent them also. And if you have tenants they won't steal the copper when they leave !

For under sink cabinets, I just put plastic bins under the pipe areas with waterproof soap refill bottles and such in them to catch potential leaks. This makes it easy to clear out the cabinet in case plumbing needs to be done.

Very interesting. My only comment apart from how long do those seals last, is does the pex pipe ever degrade, as in into the future will it end up in land fill and never degrade. We have enough plastic products that will never go away already.

No no no, don't stack it back. That forces each guy to stack and re stack. If they did their job right they would cull this stuff out and mark it down like an ethical business would verses trying to find the lazy guy who will pay full price for a piece of crap. If they want to put culled wood back into good stock then that is 100% on them, my conscience won't allow that.

I have the same old combo square in blue. Got it from my Dad. I just love those old tools, because they last forever! I like the straw idea for the glue, too. You could even squeeze glue on to something else so as not to simply waste it. I find it concerning that most KZbin carpenters put way too much glue in projects. There should not be a whole lot of squeeze out. I never saw so much squeeze out in my PBS woodwork heroes like Norm Abrams. So, I think there's something wrong when ten times as much glue as is needed drips out. Whatever though.

Sure, material is less than it would cost to buy a shed. That would be true nearly 100% of the time But.... HOW MANY HOURS did you spend on the project? Less than 200 hours (200 x $20/hr = $4,000) It took you how many months?

All receptical and light switch securing screws should always be left with the slot in the vertical position. A..aesthetics. B..in the vertical position the screw slot doesn’t accumulate dust, Which makes the slot appear larger. It is first year Electrical Engineering Course subject in College.

I don't think your pricing on the PEX is correct, or maybe it is, for your area, but I am looking at one sharkbite connector being 15-25 dollars each here, which is sad.

The triple grip anchors with the wings work best if you partially install the screw, set the anchor in the hole, then hammer on the screw head to sink the anchor into place. If you hammer just the plastic anchor into the wall, the wedge collapses and that weakens the wings, sometimes even completely breaking them off.

Wow, this man really overcomplicates. I’m an artist who makes his own frames on a table saw and a mitre saw. You can wing it and make a frame good enough for buyers (who mostly won’t buy unframed) in under an hour starting with a length of pine without any of this fancy jigging and stuff as long as you have a simple frame clamp. Just glue the corners. The punters can always buy an expensive frame if they want to.

Great job. Very details and long video but I watched it all. It have wanted to do this but I do not have carpenter skills like you do. BTW at your ending (2:01 marker) looks like you missed painting the middle door hingers.. Do you need to tie it down on the bottom of the corners, just in case heavy winds will blow it away?

Just a couple of notes, the PEX A works fine with clamp rings or crimp rings also they are not just for PEX B, the expander tool can be gotten nowadays for $69, the thing about the open pathway for water to the tub note that the expansion approach allows for the inner diameter not to be reduced by the fitting, but the other big advantage of PEX A has to do with freezing, it's flexibility pretty much allows it to freeze without generally ever bursting. One other advantage of the expansion tool approaches that you can expand it and then stick it on in tight quarters where it would be hard to fit a clamp or crimp tool.
