I’m pretty sure since this was 12+ years ago, she’s pitching from 40 ft not 43… 💨 🔥 so Finch was still a prolific hitter especially as a pitcher! I wonder how she adjusted for her next at bats!

Your full of shit unless you have been practicing against elite softball pitchers and completely throw out anything you know about how to hit a baseball. Softball swing mechanics are significantly different. That ball is coming at you at 70 mph from a release point about 37 feet away and can go up and down left and right almost a foot. That means you have about 0.36 seconds to analyze the pitch and swing. A 100 mph fastball takes about 0.40 seconds to reach the plate. Watch some film of Monica Abbot, Jenny Finch, and others throwing to Major League Baseball top hitters for the first time. Most of them don’t make contact unless they bunt.

Not known as a hitter? Nah. That's why Candrea played her at 1st when she didn't pitch AND she was in the lineup when she did pitch. Oh, and she was a cagey base runner with decent speed. When at the Olympics, she didn't have to hit her position. That team had great hitting all around.
