@@Veridiano02 i am not bothered by that, logically the synthesis ending cannot be cannon because it brings peace understanding and unity to the galaxy so how can you make an action RPG off that? it has to be the destroy ending that is cannon, however since no creators of the original mass effect are still at bioware you just know mass effect 4 will be total dogshit, i will be definitely holding back like i did with andromeda, and for good reason

Not bioware's fault, actually. EA fired the lead writer halfway through the game. The ending was written by a cheap replacement.

Aela Huntress I can see your point. EA did have a big hand in the faults of this, but Bioware allowed it to happen. In a way it was a catch 22 for them; either don't allow EA to tell them what to do with their story and risk getting canned as well as disappointed fans, or the situation we have now, which still involves disappointed fans. Funny how EA has a lot of options involving disappointed fans. Anyway, my point is that I will not forgive Bioware for the ending. This has no standing on the rest of the series, but the end is something I will not forgive, and have just come to make up my own endings instead

As a person that owned the original trilogy. I'm gonna pirate the SHIT out of Mass Effect 4. Trust is only broken once, so they will have to make a game that is out of this world in order for me to ever pay them a dime again.

I also thought Indoctrination Theory was AWESOME! It would've been amazing and made the ending genius. Except that this is only true if they release what happens after Shepard wakes up, and EA has already said that the indoctrination theory is wrong.

My guess, Indoctrination Theory was what BioWare was initially going to go with. However after already having delayed the release of the game once, EA didn't want to push it out again. So they told them to just cut the real ending, and use the indoctrinated endings. Then rather than admit this terrible cutting of corners, losing face, and potentially having to create and release additional gameplay for free; They just added the bare minimum explanation to the ending cutscenes to address maybe 50% of the complaints we all had. And then continued putting out paid DLC and multiplayer expansions instead.

There's no indoctrination theory. Now, several years later, they are going to release the entire trilogy in HD and they are not going to change the end. So... Indoctrionation was never nothing but a hope of something that never came. Bioware are just a bunch of arrogant assholes. After what they did with Andromeda and Anthem, it's obvious they just created that awful ending and thought no one will care about it. Their creativiy has gone.
