This was the one that where my first impressions from pictures was totally wrong. Having it in hand, it's just pure goofy fun and makes me smile, and that's like a superpower in and of itself when a toy can do that.

I'm not super invested in the Masterverse line, but I really like this one. I'd like to get the Sy-Klone too but money is tight for me right now so I hope it stays in stock for a while unlike Masterverse Webstor that is going for insane prices on eBay.

Once again, wonderful review. For once I'm going to start by commenting not on the figurine but on the review itself, always so well detailed and well lit. With your work we can easily appreciate all the details of the figurine presented, since you take the time to show everything. Concerning the figurine... Webstor is not the character that I expected so quickly, and he is not one of the protagonists who impressed me the most, but it is a Cartoon collection, and being Like you, a particular fan of this line, I am not going to shy away from my pleasure, especially since it is very successful. You are right to insist on the quality of the face because, in fact, it is extremely well detailed and modeled, and I agree with your point when you mention the idea that this collection is perhaps produced by people who are fans of the filming series. The statue is in any case emblematic of the character, personally it's the kind of bonus that I love 🤟. Mattel does a very good job with this line, which I still think is superior in some ways to the Club Grayskull line. A small set of additional hands and faces (which you mentioned elsewhere) would indeed be perfect, but for that we will see later if Mattel decides something. Thanks Douglas!

Thank you so much, my friend!! I love your feedback. So thorough!! When I compare the Club Grayskull figures that I have to the Cartoon Collection, I favor the Cartoon Collection for sure!! I will show this in the Prince Adam and Cringer video coming soon. Webstor is awesome and is a perfect fit for the already impressive Cartoon Collection, imo. I just love the grappling hook and rope feature! 😁🕷️

@@toyboxnostalgia The comparison will indeed be interesting, although for me the Cartoon version is actually more... Cartoon 😅. Once again, one of the strengths of this line is its price, I think Mattel has certainly taken this into account, but it's not just that: a figurine like Teela easily demonstrates the direction taken by the Mattel designers who had to be told something like “do Filmation” 🤟. In any case, the rest will be full of surprises, in my opinion everything that comes from the teasers that we saw on the character and Collector boxes.

The Grimalkan statue is wonderful and I think would look fantastic posed with Club Grayskul Kittrina as well. I've recently discovered your channel and I've been enjoying watching your reviews! If there is a Club Grayskull figure that you would love to own, don't hesitate to let me know and perhaps we can help you out. My favorite Origins Cartoon figure so far- Teela for sure. Drop dead gorgeous. Close 2nd is Trap Jaw.

I agree. I love how you can make their legs straight. I just wish there were bicep and upper thigh cuts. But, so far I haven't had too many issues posing them for photos. I love how you called it the MOTU "revolution!" That's dead on!! 👍

Okay, I get that! Totally! They technically are aliens after all 😀 But the folks who made the cartoon (Filmation) went their own route, I guess. Mattel just seems to be making up for that fact by modeling these in their own Mattel style 😅 Either way, I am absolutely becoming more obsessed with this line each time I unbox a new figure. The Cartoon Collection has been such a joy! It's hit me in all all the feels and transported me right back to my childhood. I can only imagine my head exploding if we had these figures back when the line originally launched. Lyn looks great and nice catch on her armor coming off. This is a video that I was waiting for with great impatience, because I was sure that you were going to look meticulously at Evil-Lyn's face. And with the low-angle lighting, we can clearly see the finesse of the lines and the quality of the sculpture. Mattel did a very, very good job there, and I agree with you regarding the color of the skin, which is in agreement with certain images in the series. In fact, and although her eyes are less deep than Teela's, they are consistent with the Filmation design, and I love the fact that they are slightly wrinkled: it gives all its character to the figurine, which you are making us enjoy. with poses and attitudes. This "Cartoon" line is starting to look great, "Ça commence à avoir de la gueule", as we say in France 😁. As for the cape, it fulfills its role... And I thank you for presenting it so well :). If I manage to make a more beautiful one I will obviously think of you, but in the meantime a big thank you for this elegant review, with perfect image quality and couldn't be more complete 🤟

I seriously hope that we get Evil Horde and PoP figures in this line and also, I deeply want a set of different hands for these figures. Mattel *really* should sell a set of hands and different head sculpts (with different expressions). That would be amazing

I don't know if Mattel has already offered this in the past for MOTU figures, but if not this would be the time to try it 😁. Glad you like the cape so much, I can't wait to receive my Evil-Lyn so I can equip it the same way. As for the horde... Given the rumors circulating here and there (as well as the number of teasers present on the boxes 😁), I am convinced that we will not take long to see in the collection (why not end of 2024 ?) the first characters of Etheria. Which means that eventually, you could one day own a Shadow Weaver Cartoon Collection 😁

Are these TMNT 2012 toys still manufactured and sold in your country? as a child in 2014 I bought thousands of things from TMNT 2012, I would like to buy more things but I can't find them anywhere here in Brazil nowadays, only from TMNT 2018 and 2023, which is a shame, because it's very nostalgic, I have the toys saved to this day, but I was unable to complete the collection.

Sadly, no, not anymore. I purchased these from 3rd party sellers on eBay a while back. I really hope that Playmates and Kaiyodo Revoltech re-release the 2012 stuff again one day 🙏

@@toyboxnostalgia unfortunately I think it's very difficult for Playmates to sell the 2012 series again... the series ended 7 years ago (which is even worse because I loved this series, it made my childhood better), for them to sell it again, I think they would have to maybe TMNT 2012 will have some... sequel? which is also very difficult, I've already tried buying on Ebay because there are many options, but it seems like they don't ship to Brazil :(

Glad to have introduced you to this new version of shadow weaver 😁. The Altaya collection is not bad at all, with some characters which, to my knowledge, are completely new (for example Cambro, who is heavy and huge, or Lord mask). The collection is not quite finished yet (I am missing the last 5 characters, which are due to be released from today to August 2024), but it is in any case complete and, sometimes, surprising, as with Scare Glow which is fluorescent 🤟😁. The only accessories that we find are sometimes weapons, and generally speaking the statuettes are rather well painted, even if I happened to have to redo the outline of certain eyes which were not precise enough but, in general, it's okay :) As for the packaging, only the bonus figurines offer a background with illustrations similar to those we are used to with other MOTU lines. This is the case of Battle cat, Panthor, Faker, Robot He-man, the Sorceress and Golden He-man, which will be delivered with the latest Altaya package (because it is a subscription collection - 77 characters ). It's funny because I'm not originally a fan of the design of the New Eternia master verse figurines, but this Sy-klon is special for me. Already, the packaging is absolutely magnificent... The kind of thing that you look at for a long time and which alone can make you buy the figurine 😅. But the figurine itself is superb, and despite its very realistic appearance retains a graphic side: lots of colors, original shapes... And excellent exhibition possibilities, especially with the fully articulated torso. I particularly like the addition of flames, which add dynamism to the poses. As for the "yellow" color, it looks like Mattel applied a silver color and a transparent yellow varnish, which gives this completely strange and original look. So ok I wouldn't go so far as to buy this figurine (as you know I'm above all a big fan of the 80's cartoon), but this new version of Sy-klon does honor to the character and, frankly, the fans of this heroes must be over the moon. Great review, pleasant, complete and very cleanly filmed, thank you :)

I loved the vintage figure as a kid, I love what they did with him in 200x and Origins, and I love what they're doing with him now! The metallic paint, the translucent plastic, the incredible headsculpt! I don't NEED a 3rd Sy-Klone, but at least he's unique enough to justify! XD

Sy-Klone is one of my favorite characters in all of MOTU and one of my favorite figures too. I like his slightly more ornate design here (verses Origins) and the kind of pearlescent paint job. And I totally see the TRON influences, btw a part 3 is coming with Jeff Bridges returning. The vintage/Origins figure had a lenticular sticker on the chest that was supposed to be a radar so I think that's what they were going for here but bubbilicious. Another great review and the magenta light at the end really made him pop!

I feel that. That's a great point. This topic is truly a shame. I just can't seem to make any sense of the market lately. I feel like us GenX all got to the age of finally having good jobs and feeling nostalgic for old video games at the same time 😅 now there's barely anything left and what *is* available just keeps going up in price! Idk. I typically start all of my auctions at $1 on eBay and let the market decide it's value. I could never see myself listing something for these ridiculous prices. It's absurd!
