I've never seen him or heard him before and he sings very well and moves incredibly well too. hey pete, how goes it ? another lovely trip through gentler times. why was it blocked ? probably because this is the age of technology and they don't want to admit we had it better. and it was. better.
@peteroberts40332 күн бұрын
Hiya Julie ..the reason was that I originally had the full songs ..so Disney's copyright probably blocked them. I cut the Disney clips down to 30 seconds ..that way there is usually no problem. :)

I have a lovely story about Neil Sedaka and a school friend, John Nevin. John's parents, although English, lived in Buenos Aires. They sent him to a Preparatory School in the Lake District in England. This was in the late 1950s. John was a very talented pianist. John and I attended the same school, Huyton Hill, run by the Butler Brothers, Hubert Desramaux and Gerald Villers Butler. These were world war one heroes, born at the end of the nineteenth century, although we didn't know it. Hubert was a pilot and flew Sopwith Camels. Gerald was a tank commander. He told us few tales, but the ones I remember were where he drank petrol from a gallon drum, thinking it was water. He said it took several seconds to realise, as the atmosphere in the tank was filled with petrol. His joking remark was 'I didn't dare have a cigarette for days!' He told another boy that as tank commander he was the one in the open position. He struggled to communicate with his driver down below. Their solution was to attach strings on pegs to the driver's ears. He pulled in the required direction! Back to Neil Sedaka! John's mum took him to a Neil Sedaka concert in 1959 or 1960 in Buenos Aires. The bus was late and they arrived too late to enter. When they left on another bus, Neil Seaka climbed on board (This is so difficult to imagine now for so many reasons!) John's mum told him to go and and say hello. He went up nervously. Neil greeted him and they had a great conversation. Neil gave him a signed photo. John tells me that he still has it! If you Google John Nevin you will find that he is a very talented musician!
