My father served on the USN Dewey in WWII. He was on the Dewey at Iwo Jima and when the ship was almost lost during Typhoon Cobra. He was Boatswain mate. He led the torpedo crew.

I played with Jon at Kennedy and he was a hell of a competitor and an amazing athlete. His uncle Jon Bouchard was our pitching coach and learned a lot from him. Jon definitely had a dedicated support group from his parents and uncle.
