The soap bubbles I understand, but what's the physical model used at 0:56 onwards? An oil on water, with a second imiscable oil of same density being added from the edges?

Her building in Danmark 2005 also has this quality with a concrete cantilever suspended to give You the feeling how the building is attached/anchored to the ground majestically.

The landing process in phaeno museum is spectacular in Germany. She did the reversed diagram. She landed the building with giant concrete pillotis !

Love all the historic clips, beautiful. It's a shame that Schumacher and Zaha are the main contributions though. I would guess that Otto would have despised their form based approach that has little to do with elegance, lightness of structure and efficiency of materials.

This really resembles a caterpillar tent, constructed by caterpillars that live communally in structures like this on trees or shrubs.

Otto is the avant garde who applied strong courage and innovation to challenge the modern horizontal and vertical steel and concrete systems, and inspired younger generations like Zaha.
