About 10 years ago, I worked a job on a farm that had a 4030 gas, narrow front, power shift, open station.

John Deere 4755 is a great tractor. It’s interesting that the 2WD versions are bringing such high money. We use a 2WD 4755 on the ranch as one of our hay tractors.

The fact it was a demonstrator is great but the hydros were not really good tractors and super hard on fuel compared to their standard transmission counterparts…

What a delightful interview. Judging from the charming life of this man, the British crown might actually be closer to the good of the common man than the republican office of our US presidents.

Nice! You own 2 very valuable Tractors there!
@turbodiesel470912 күн бұрын
Problem is, they're only "valuable" monetarily speaking, if he sells them now. Of course if he still uses them, they're "priceless" for his needs, and he'd be insane to sell.

$71,000 is a bargain compared to anything new.

True, that's the price for a plastic 2024 1/2 ton pickup with a 4 foot bed.

Which is only because the new stuff is so severely overpriced with too much technology and crap in it that nobody wants or needs.

How much would that have cost when it was bought brand new?
@danw601411 күн бұрын
@RhettDixon-v1l off hand guess, probably $30,000 to $40,000. But you would also have to calculate what a dollar was worth back then compared to today.

What a great collection! I grew up on a farm in Alberta Canada and we had a 3588 for a few years. When I took over the farm I purchased it from my father but while most of the other equipment was green, I liked the old anteater. I no longer farm but I still have the nostalgia.

@machinerypete The Supreme Court had a recent ruling on Chevron V. NRDC. The ruling found the federal government has overstepped its boundary, and essentially is giving power back to local courts. There is a possibility the EPA has overstepped its legal authority, therefore giving emissions requirements back to states, or local jurisdictions. Do you have any information on this this?
