Imagine how much terrified Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Connie and Greg must've have feel when they heard that from Steven that he'd shattered a Gem and thought about slaming a Diamond's head against a Pillar. Especially knowing the fact that Steven wouldn't even think about hurting other people let alone shattering a Gem.

I love how this episode fully judges the show on its own concept that Steven can fix any problem he causes without any real consequence to the world around him, the only consequences that truly show up are on his own psyche. It’s probably the hardest hitting meta moment I’ve ever watched in animation
