Interested to know what bike you have now? Did you go for the Streetfighter v4? I’m looking to do similar trip on that. From Ireland 🇮🇪
@javithepito
@javithepito 5 ай бұрын
Well, I still have the same bike, had a few motocross bikes added to the collection but i feel that for Tenerife as an island that lacks long straight roads is more than enough.. i suppose that the streetfighter v4 would be one of the best options, just keep in mind that it doesn’t offer the best wind protection. Personally i love the Xdiavel, with the older v2 engine.. not the new v4. Go for it, it’s worth it 👍

Great response, thank you 🙏 Apologies I don’t have great Spanish although I hope to change that. My mother just moved to Alicante full time. Plenty of opportunity to make it a regular trip 🏍️ the Canary Islands are stunning, I envy you 😊 Agreed re lack of wind protection on SFV4, might make it easier to stay at legal speeds 😂 I love the look of sport bikes but to be honest I hate the ergonomics, I’m 180cm and 108kg (bodybuilder) , the Panagale feels like a small wooden toy to me 😅an hour of riding before my body feels too cramped. The Sfv4 is incredibly comfortable and is basically 85% Panagale performance. I also like adventure style bikes (Multi/GS) but don’t like the aesthetic. There’s also something special about the feel on a naked bike. To me at least it’s what a bike should feel like, wind and all 🤷‍♂️

@@markholmes5695 The V4 SF will be good for you, i used to have a monster and it was a great bike, very comfy and nimble because of the wider handlebars.

Hello, great adventure! Tell me, how much fuel does a motorcycle consume per 100 kilometers on average? how many kilometers did you have to refuel? Kind regards
@javithepito
@javithepito 5 ай бұрын
About 4-6 Liters per 100km, I think the longest push i did on one tank was 370km, it has a 17L tank and refueled almost every 250km just to be sure.

I also have a 959 and use Motech saddle bags. Pro Blaze H (earlier version. Nothing officially is available for the 959. You have to buy the setup for 899, and modify the metal mounting bracket to fit a 959. This entails cutting or grinding it just a bit to clear the exhaust heat guard. I love this luggage system!

Excellent ride and footage. You kept a little in reserve on corner exits, which is exactly the right thing to do. Power-on nice and early, no frantic mid-corner brake grabs. Gotta love that quickshifter! I've got an 899 as well, and I think it's perfect.

Nice one 👍 What was the comfort like on the Panigale ?
@javithepito
@javithepito 3 жыл бұрын
Not the best and not the worst, it is good in terms of the legs as you sit a bit higher than the rest of sportsbikes and i do have the comfort seat instead of the thinner original one. It has a bit wider handlebars and it makes it easier to deal with, but the weight is still going to be on your wrists so for longer rides not the best unless you have cruise control.

How many kms does the bike have in total, and if I may ask how much money would the entire trip cost you? Did you change oil anywhere during the trip? Sorry for blasting with questions, I would certainly try this with my 848! But it already has 63.000km on it so I don't know if I should be worried or not!
@javithepito
@javithepito 3 жыл бұрын
It had 20.000km before the trip and changed the oil in Finland just in case but it wasn’t really needed...oil was new. Had the valves, filters, oils, coolant and tires replaced before the trip. Total cost about 1.5 - 2k €. 848 is different, if it’s not the evo version i would check the cylinder compression to see if there is wear also oil changes on that bike every 6k?

@javithepito
@javithepito 3 жыл бұрын
