Cool music. Do you do your stretch fold and multiple coil folds all together 30 minutes after mixing?
@birchtreekitchen5 ай бұрын
About 30 minutes between each set.

I use the celery leaves whenever I can, too. They have so much flavor!
@birchtreekitchen5 ай бұрын
You don't really get a lot of leaves from celery bought at the grocery store, but when I get it from the farmers market, I freeze the extra leaves and use in soup later on.

Huh?? And why would you cut it to save it? You are only increasing the surface area and encouraging it to go bad sooner!
@birchtreekitchen5 ай бұрын
I cut when I was ready to use, and used half for dinner that night and the rest went in the freezer. But always a good idea to have food safety in mind!

One question: how do people usually eat such hard crispy bread? Epecially those crusty edges? It is impossible to chew it down. I am not a fan of eating bread with any soups or liquid so I am not sure how else can I eat it. I have this very problem with french baguette. How in the world do you eat that? 😅
@birchtreekitchen5 ай бұрын
Good question! I've definitely had some hard crispy bread, but I find my sourdough crust is generally not so crunchy.
@lynnsenger99506 ай бұрын
But, did you still eat it and was it good? Or did you feed it to the chickens? lol
@birchtreekitchen6 ай бұрын
It was too dense and doughy and oily, so I just threw it out. I wish I had peeled the top layer off and tried it, though!

Great recipe, however, I don't use table salt in my cooking anymore. I find it gives the food a funny taste.
@birchtreekitchen6 ай бұрын
What do you use instead of table salt?
@lynnsenger99506 ай бұрын
I use Kosher salt or Pink Himalayan salt. Both have a natural flavor. @@birchtreekitchen

This is heinous in ways I can’t comprehend or describe and an embarrassment to the word taco and the fake fish that was killed to be in those soggy sticks A Filet 'O Fish is closer to a real fish sandwich than this is to a fish taco and probably far more appetizing.

When I was a child, all us kids got to pick what we wanted for our birthday dinner, and my choice was always Swedish meatballs with egg noodles. Today, I make them occasionally, but we have a really good butcher that sells them and the gravy frozen. It is very convenient and delicious. My recipe is similiar to yours.
@birchtreekitchen7 ай бұрын
For some reason I tend to default to mashed potatoes with meatballs. Maybe I"ll try egg noodles next time!

Soften a block of cream cheese. Take some pickle spears and dry them with paper towels. Spread some of the cream cheese on a deli ham slice then roll the whole thing up. Refridgerate until it sets up (about 30 to 45 minutes) then slice into 3/4 inch slices. It's a favorite around here. My niece makes a dip with the same ingredients then spread on crackers. It's really yummy. Oh, some call it Minnesota sushi!@@birchtreekitchen
