This is probably the first time I've come across something that is genuinely at the ideal level for an intro to a subject, such a good pace and level of information and not too much jargon early on, thanks!

How close can sprinkles be to property lines? Thanks in advance
@OkstateWaterCenter
@OkstateWaterCenter 4 ай бұрын
Here is the response from our expert: I am not aware of a specific provision in our Oklahoma Rules about the location of the sprinklers relative to the property line. What is important is that the effluent is applied on the property, or maybe sprayed to the direction of the owner’s property. The spray heads can be adjusted so that they will only spray to the direction of the owner’s property. If the effluent goes to a neighbor’s property, the neighbor can file a complaint at the local Oklahoma DEQ-Environmental Complaints and Local Services division. I would refer you to the Oklahoma DEQ because they recently implemented a new set of rules. I hope this helps.

Wonderful, pay to get your septic inspected every three months! Everywhere I turn, the law is making home ownership impossible using ignorant people as the excuse. Maintain your home, if you don't know how to check a pressure switch, move into a condo! Leave the rest of us alone!

If you had actually watched the video, you would have learned exactly what you could YOURSELF to keep from having to call a professional to fix your system for you. Regular maintenance will PREVENT a bigger problem. Neglect will not.

Yeah, probably the numbers are calculated using old fashion family sizes with low efficiency appliances. There isn't an incentive for the government to get these numbers right, but to be overly conservative in designs. The only folks that benefit from right on designs are the home owners, who typically aren't in a position to challenge the experts. The health department gets flack if any approved design fails. The installers make more money the more expensive the system is. The engineers might get work if health department requires a complex system.

Regarding what to do after a power outage. If the power is out for 12hrs, your sprinkler discharge timer will be affected accordingly. If you set your sprinklers to spray at midnight thru 5am, since the power was out 12hrs, your timer will set off the sprinklers from noon to 5pm. Not a pleasant experience for kids in the yard or homeowners mowing. So always check your timer to ensure it's set to the correct time of day, much like you would on your microwave and coffee maker.

But won't the chlorine kill the good bacteria found in the soil at the drip site that is needed to treat the effluent water being expelled? Like surrounding earthworms etc that would build better soil structure?

I just bought a house in the country with this kind of system. I was so confused when I saw that I had a "sprinkler system" spraying out into a forest!! Now I'm laughing because I realize that it was the septic system. Thank you so much for helping me understand what is going on and how to maintain it. (I hadn't even considered what to do when we lose power!) :)

Sir, thank you very much. I live in my village and only have small area around my house. However the soil is too shallow, not more than 2.5 meters everywhere. Below that ground is extended limestone, white in color. My question is, is it recommended to dig further the limestone for a conventional septic tank? What would be any likely future impact (good or bad)? Your response would help in my adventure to do these things myself.

This is provably the most comprehensive video you can find about septic systems used in the USA. I am a professional civil engineer and PhD brushing up on my education, and I have to say that Dr Abit is an excellent presenter, the presentation is well thought out, and this is how community education at it's best. Thanks to Dr Abit and the faculty and staff at OHU Water Center!

Why not just put bacteria kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnmkg3iHrbigbck from the bottom of the ocean or the bacteria from our salty boggy marshes that breakdown and consume organic matter and convert it into electrical current as long as you use a non-conductive septic tank and then put a superconductive coating on a conductive Rod or strip of metal on each end of the septic tank to receive electrical current discharge from bacteria to power your house or charge an EV vehicle.

Thank you for this. I would like to offer some insite from a city girl who is building a homestead (my husband refuses to call it a farm,, he says that's what city folks say) in South Central Oklahoma. I'm on here watching videos, trying to wrap my head around the whole process. Verbally, I think he does a fantastic job of explaining it. I would have loved it if he were Showing us which system is which. If he could, say flush a toilet and show us what went where. Or at the very least walk along beside each system explaining the process as he goes. I would have gained SO much more knowledge that way. Thank you. God Bless #OkiesAreTheBest

How to become hydrogeology is there any certificate of hydrogeologist Or ground water exploration
@OkstateWaterCenter
@OkstateWaterCenter 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Muddasir! We love to see your interest in groundwater work. To become a hydrogeologist, you typically need a four-year degree. There are numerous field options that involve groundwater exploration, such as environmental scientists/engineers, hydrologists, groundwater specialists, etc. Oklahoma State University offers many of these options - we highly suggest looking into it!

Sir I want to work with an idea of artifically create an aquafir in the mountain areas where there is mostly metamorphiic and igneous rocks (sub himalaiyan region) some part of kashmir pakistan. Because of issues of drinkable water not available for people. Due to population spring water is not sufficient for future need. Could you suggest me something regarding this?
