I'd love to see you retro bright it, I haven't done it myself since the first procedures were posted on Amibay amongst many places. I'd be very interested in seeing how retro brightening has developed since then. Your videos have popped up in my feed occasionally due to the scary algorithm, but it was right. I like your content and today I became a subscriber with the bell notification turned on. Thank you for the great content!

As a person that doesn’t know anything about soldering I didn’t know you can use distilled water and baking soda? I thought only 90 percent alcohol on boards interesting . Also yes on the digital microscope what brand please or link?

Just wanted to say thanks for posting this video. I remember we had these books at my local library when I was kid. I'd forgotten until this video. Brings back good memories of the days when computer mags had programs to type in and explained how they worked. As simple as these programs seem today, it would be a good bet that more than a few games programmers got their start reading such books. 🙂

Nice mod! I also replaced the screen of my GBA SP but with the ITA screen from FunnyPlaying. What I dislike about all these new screens are the colours, they are too saturated in my eyes. However, without a new screen, i wouldn't use my GBA at all. About games, I enjoy playing Avatar

that was also my thought. especially with destilled water, that doesn't clean anything from the leaked electrolyte. a few months and the amiga is probably toast again

I had an A2000 with a SCSI filecard hosting a 105MB HDD back then. Great machine. To steal a quote from this video "It made my life much easier." - ...NOT. It actually cut off a huge chunk from my pocket money 😂

I used to love getting new Rainbow magazines for my trs80 that would have pages and pages of code to type in so you could play a game.. I didn't have a cassette deck at first, so i would spend hours typing it all in, play a little while then when i turned the computer off for the night.. it was gone.

Any chance you could do an Acorn 3000 or 3010 restore and perhaps Lemmings which was the best version on Acorn computers. Talk up some ARM processor and why Acorns chip is so important today. Great vids keep it up!

Hey Kari! This video seemed like it did very well in KZbin? Are you going to do any more of these? It would be brilliant if you did a series of videos aimed at getting kids interested in programming.

Great vid, well done! Having done this process a few times on amigas over the years, it’s actually quite nostalgic to see it being done again! Not many KZbinrs tackling the a600, they tend to go for the a500. The a600 is, retrospectively, a nice machine!

It is very, very sad indeed, that commands like "circle(30,40,11,255)" for example, drawing a circle with center at coordinates [30,40], radius 11 pixels, and white color (255), is not possible in python.

To fix that broken ribbon - there’s a product you can buy for fixing a gap on a cars heated rear window (same kind of fault) it’s basically like a conductive nail varnish if you will, you mask out the area that needs repair then paint on the product over the break. Once done your repair will restore the circuit.
