Bob is a figment of our historical imagination? There is no Bob Dylan, just a tired, tired nation? Rock on Bob.

Love the 60 cycle hum prior to Bobs performance. Yes kids this is rock n roll

Ha, hell yeah... A FAR CRY from that debacle at whatever awards thing where he spoke another damn language the whole time ( I believe Letterman introduced him or something), I mean pretty hilarious

I remember watching this live. The Rockets were my favorite band and he gave them a plug at the end but nobody knew who they were. I was disappointed.

I love New Wave Bob. He should have done a whole album in this style - maybe a Blondie or Television or New Order cover or two.

In this broken down shit-heap of a once proud democracy, we need voices like Bob’s more than ever before.

How didn’t this incarnation of Dylan last just a bit longer? He seems pretty into it.
@EdKazO-Vision12 күн бұрын
@@genereynolds3296 He gets bored immediately. That is fully on display with all the Bootleg Series releases. So many versions, and the early ones are usually maddeningly superior. That’s why we love Bob.

Memphis was another huge hit for Johnny Rivers. "Baby I need your lovin" what a classic.

when Dylan started making appearances on shows like this he lost my attention. However, I am glad to see this after all these years if only to prove I was correct in not wasting my time back then.

The Doors of Perception. I saw them live one of my birthdays sat right up front but they only played about a 40 minute set. But they were great. Their music and lyrics hold up better than almost anything from the sixties! Brilliant!

Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, and James Corden all tried to follow Letterman's lead by having musical guests play live. But only Letterman and Schaefer actually vetted the acts for the ability to play music, not just for how many views they had on KZbin or how many songs sold/clicked on Spotify. So much of 2024's music on live TV shows is pure dreck; not all, but so much. Same for SNL,which used to have only real musical acts, but now has regularly booked popular to the loss of talent.

So so so good, pure rock and Roll, and his voice is sublime!
@MarkTarmannPianoCheck_it_out19 күн бұрын
lyrics are always good, but this sloppy shuffle is crap. Reminds me of the worst set of music i heard. him in 94 in Berdu, opening for Santana Imagine this, his voice completely shot, not a single lyric intelligible. Band just thrashing and making amateur garage band noice. Shameless cashing in for money, delivering crap. Saw him perform "Serve Somebody" just couple years before this . Great band, well rehearsed. Flawless. Then this what an asshole. These songs are shit compared to what he's done before.. No melodies. Just muttered half sung noise. . Embarrassing.

Bob had the perfect voice for his music, it doesn't work for to many other artists to sing his songs, imagine if he had a voice like Barry Manilow or others, he would never had the career or impact on music and society. love this live performance one of his best

This is similar to when Bob went electric at Newport, raw rock and roll. Excellent.
