The SPB143 and alike are far better than the new reintroduced 62mas. I’m a short guy with larger wrist size and I believe the previous models 2020-2023 are perfect for any size. 40.3 mm case size and 47.2 lug to lug is not large. They made them way too small and I hate the date window. It reminds me of the SPB313 slim turtle.

Yes, I have bought from AMZWATCH more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster which came with the fancy box and packaging. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from AMZWATCH again for sure.

love the blue but no new seikos are actually 1000-1200 dollars worth asking price. not even 800 imho.... the build quality is that of a 500-700 dollar watch.

You're correct regarding the fading lume... but a watch kept in a drawer for 40 years would also lose it's glow, as the tritium decays. With the 12 year half-life of tritium, it doesn't matter if you wear it or stick it in a box. A super bright dial at 40years is aftermarket.

@yaterspoon57 Thanks for sharing. It's either an aftermarket dial or a well re-lumed dial. Speaking of tritium, I thought they had to put a warning logo somewhere along the watch similar to a Marathon to indicate the radioactive state of the lume. 😅 Currently, they use lumibrite now which is non radioactive and safe seiko quotes.

These are just vile. Seiko is back to pumping out knock-offs, like they did in the 1990s with Breitling Chronomats. This one is a Tag Aquaracer clone. They have a Daytona knockoff in the Speedmaster, they have a baby Marinemaster that looks like a 39mm pre-ceramic Rolex. Bleh.

well, it is only on preorder at the moment. Any one knows what that means. If I order do I pay now or later and when can I expect to receive it. Least but not last will the price go up after preorder? and what is generally the advantage by preordering? any clues`?

@@johncalberg1573 No advantage really. Unless the AD has some freebies for pre - orders only. It only means you’ll be getting it as soon as it is available. In terms of price, it will be the same.

Preorder is full payment upfront. I bought the artic ocean ltd edition Dec 2023 from a UK retailer £500 deposit then remainder when ready to ship. Problem was I received the watch and they forget to ask for the £1,100 😂. They asked for it in Feb 2024 😭. Tempted to buy the blue as it resembles an omega style watch.

Just picked up the white sla077. It's wonderful. My only critique would be the bezel clicks. For the price you should have something more substantial, but it's seiko. You know how they feel. Beautiful finishing.

Hi! Thanks for the comparison! I own a 4205 0152 and am looking for a quality bracelet. Do you think a strapcode or an uncle made for the skx013 can fit without adaptations? Or are the case measurements too different? Unfortunately I don't know anyone with an 013 to ask! Thanks man

The lug width of both watches are the same. Although the end links of the original skx013 is not a solid end link(which can be bent a little) that may be the reason it can fit vice versa. Since strapcode or uncle would probably have solid end links and based on the lug hole distance, it's hard to say it will fit perfectly since I havent tried it personally. But i think it might work but just not 100% guarantee.

453 is by far a better-looking watch. Deep black watches just look better, or Submariners would do it. I don't get the hype with the sunburst look.

Most likely this was made in 1996. I looked through Seiko catalogs from 1986/1987 and didn't see anything similar to this, however their 1996 catalog had a ton of different AGS watches, including quite a few "scuba" branded ones similar to this one.
