Hi, just come across this vid, about your rail, have you tried using two rails combined in a cross orientation, then you camera, this would give extrem fine tuning of positioning, especially if combined with a geared central column. One the geared central column height adjustable for vertical alignment, two the rails would give left/right traversing again for horizontal alignment, then of course second rail for front to back focusing adjustments. I feel if you have not tried this style/method of positioning that once you have tried it, you will forever use it from that point on. Hope you do get the opportunity to try it out, it's a real boon for such close proximity work.

Very creative shots, Mike. Which camera and lens did you use? And which low tripod system? I am finding your videos very helpful. Thank you.
Mike you mention your camera is a 7500. Is that a nikon D7500? Thanks for the advice on finding contrasts. I will pay more attention to this on my macro nature walks.

I try and create an artistic photo, mainly by using quirky lenses, my latest quirky lens is the Domiplan 50mm, but my fav is the Pentacon 50mm fi.8.

Hey Mike. I appreciate you overview of this backpack. Im thinking about getting this. How has it held up for you?

It's working out great, and I've own many of the Think Tank bags over many years and never had one that didn't hold up very well, so very happy with this new pack.

One of the most common mistakes among photographers is that they want to shoot or show the thing they shoot and not a composition of shapes, lines and contrasts. You clearly are not making that mistake Mike. Which is why i subscribed. Thanks.

Love this lens. Great IQ for a 15mm and the macro is just a sweet bonus. Getting 1:1 is a challenge. It will focus on stuff touching the front element lol

Hey Mike, thanks for sharing this review! Any experience traveling on flights with this backpack so far?

For me I wouldn't travel with this pack, a little to large, so I always scale back on equipment and a smaller backpack when having to fly.

@mgmoats5 ай бұрын
Yes, you will see in a lot of my videos I shoot at f/32 to get all of the subject in focus, but when you shoot this way make sure you sharpen the image on post processing due to the diffraction when shooting at such a high f/stop number.

Once again a great video. You are so lucky not to have to deal with a breeze or wind. As soon as i step out the door to take macro photographs of flowers, a breeze or the wind follows me.
@mgmoats5 ай бұрын
Thanks Sarah, if you notice I mention that it's 6:10 in the morning, that is the only time of the day I shoot. I like to go out on cloudy days, so I look at the weather for the week and on the cloudy days I will get up before daybreak, look out at the flowers in my yard, and if they are still I grab my gear and head out to the parks. I will get about 90 minutes to 120 minutes with no wind or low wind, and the warmer air will start moving and then gets to windy to shoot, but like you I could never shoot later in the day, always to windy.
