My version of this is forgetting to set a tp, price smashes tp then retraces heavily before I notice 😂 end up watching the wick of what could have been huge win

If you're not able to be on the charts, then a set-and-forget approach with a stop loss and take profit is a must!

Hey Nick, I'm at the point now where I can clearly see my last big hurdle is just sticking to my rules religiously regardless of market conditions, it almost feels like I've broken my rules so much that my brain is wired to sabotage me. Do you have any practical tips or a mindset you have/ used when you were learning to stick to your own rules/trading plan?
@michalsilezin88985 күн бұрын
Love to say he's lying but it is the truth. It will take time, it will take countless hours. It will take routines. It will be frustrating patiently waiting for setups that natch your created rules and you will be wrong many times. Yet as long as you're wrong on a SMALL percentage of your account and allow 1:2, 1:3+ ratio work out there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Its a marathon not a sprint. It will require hard stop breaks too.

very underrated… such a strong impact. Andrew Huberman showed a technique where you inhale to the fullest and even squeeze some more air in until your lung is 100% filled. then release every little bit of air with one „flush“. like this you get rid of carbon dioxide and also it settles your stress level dramatically.
@Duomoinitiative7 күн бұрын
Agreed! It's a highly effective technique!

According to what I can afford to lose.

Do you keep the risk the same for every trade, or do you change it depending on different factors? If so, what are those factors?
@fundadumlupinar6847 күн бұрын
@@Duomoinitiative I have a budget as to how much I can lose per month, say £300, and adjust the amount accordingly per position. If I lose it all, that's how much I will loose max. If it's a promising position where I could see a high return on a higher time frame like daily or 4 hrs, I could spend the whole £300, I spend less on smaller time frame. All depends what the market offers and the time frame I am working on.

I read Reminisces of a stock operator 3 times in the last 8 years. Great book. Its like a good movie you love that you wanna watch again. Livermore though probably should have spent some time thinking of philosophy and getting other education. He committed suicide and didn't raise his kids right. His family was failure and it doesn't exist now, his bloodline forward from his seed went extinct.

I am new to trading, though been heavily on the development route you have outlined in this video for the last 2 months (draining YT, books courses etc, simulated trading and demo accounts to date). I have actually been using Forex Tester for doing my best to train myself during much of this time. What a fantastic tool and so much better than say replay mode in TV. That aside I just wanted to thank you for this video you have put together here. It is beautifully structured, articulately presented and showing a clarity of thought and consideration that i have been struggling to come across in the trading world. Just came across your channel yesterday and excited now to start going over the rest of you and your team's content.
