Yes JKD and Bruce’s Lee was the 1st to emphasise on the actual art of actual real-time fighting without the rigidity of forms and whatsoever and Sanatan Shastra Vidya is the ancient principle Guru Lee being a philosopher himself was inspired by the same .

@stevenglock I read the comment. I commented. It's a free country (KZbin is pretty worldwide) What's to disagree on? They are showing a drill. You took it out it context like it was a fight and showed zero respect to the PROCESS. I see you like guns and weapons so if you show a gun drill for beginner's I wouldn't comment "cute, but try it under pressure". Just bringing awareness to as I have 40 years in various training but still stay humble. Always learning and showing respect to every school. I hope you have an excellent journey friend. get rid of those swords and use sticks while practicing, your feet need to actually move when your body moves you will get absolutely no strength using those combinations, also your hand should never be idle in your motion needs to be more fluid, just my opinion

I like the feel of real swords. Besides that what you'd really be using. And this video is like a day 1 instruction video for those just starting, can't you tell!

Great control. Takes finely tuned focus and control to make sure you don't get cut, and that you don't hurt your training partner.

Good advice for a bad situation. I used a shovel as an equalizer once when facing like 10+ people back in the day. It was sufficient to keep them at bay until the situation resolved itself, thankfully I didn't have to use it on anyone.

I bought some JKD books way back 1994 in Makati. I collected some important books of Bruce Lee, Dan Inosanto, and Paul Vunak. There's no school here of JKD at that time, so I studied the art at home reading books. I just read and see pictures. Now, in the world of the internet, I can view any techniques and tip relating to the art. I'm very glad that old videos will post here regularly, like this one. Thanks. JUN from the Philippines.
