'There's no difference between writing and thinking. Yet another ludicrous statement from a narcissist in a bubble of self worship. He has claimed elsewhere that without language thought is impossible, a logical falacy he is iincapable of understanding, which can be destroyed by the simple question 'How did the creators of language have the idea of the necessity of language if they didn't think it? How did they create language while being incapable of thinking 'because they had no language', according to Peterson? It ties in with his oft voiced comments on human specialness, which he shares with most members of his species, the dismissal of all other species as 'dumb beasts', thus incapable of not just thought but feelings, emotions and decision making ability which is arrogant hominid self serving nonsense. It is best illustrated with the following true account: A whiter famer in the American Plains where once millions of bison [called buffalo by the ignorant Europeasn whites] roamed and who native Americans respected and called cousins. The US government killed almost all of them as a way of destroying the Soux and Commanche, whose lives and culture were intimately linked to them. Immigrants were then paid to settle the Great Plains, failed to grow anything and starved - the soil is thin and in droubts dried out totally, killing all plants except the natural grasses which supply all the nutrients the native bison need, having evolved in that environment they have roots that are 18 feet long which reach down to where there is permanent water and survive. The bison aka buffalo, are being reintroduced and there are now hundreds of thousands, where once were milions and then barely a few thousand left. The farmer, who is breeding bison instead of cows who also died when tried on this grassland, saw a large herd close by, and noticed one separate from the herd and closer to him, stading by a calf who was on the ground. The calf couldn't stand, a leg broken, and the mother was torn between her babay and her instincts to stay with the herd which was moving ever further sway, and eventually instinct overcame her and she left to join the herd. Some minutes later fix young bulls came racing across the prairie to the calf, and spent some time trying to lidt it up on its feet, but of course it wasn't possible for it toi stand and they failed to carry it oon their horns, so stopped, killed the calf immediately and returned to the3 herd. At that point I was crying. A short while later the whole herd returned enmasse, and filed past the dead calf, each one paying respects in the way of buffalos until the whole herd had passed, when the herd then left. And arrogant naked apes like narcissist Peterson call them dumb beasts who can't possibly experience emotions, can't think because they have no language, yet are able to communicate with each other and feel respect, love, devotion and duty. Elephants are also known to respect their dead, and for years visit the bones, knowing they are their mother, sister, child. They have memories but no language as humans understand it, and Peterson thinks language is necessary for thought, since HE thinks everything in words, for one reason, he is rehearsing speaking it to others, and is clearly unaware that deep thinking is way before and beyond language, is done away from awareness of the conscious brain. When we think like that, it is translated into language when we wish to communicate it, because speaking is nothing if not a means of communication, and clearly all species are able to communicate not just with others of their species but with other species. My dogs know when I am thinking about feeding them or considering walking them. I once experimented with a former dog I was enriched by years ago, who reacted to my deliberate thought of a walk, despite having been asleep and snoring, and jumped up immediately, eager to go. The human species IS different to all others; it suffers from ego, arrogance and the idea it is special which is the cause of the self serving belief in 'god', who even created us in it's own image! You can't get dimmer than that, though Peterson gets close frequently. Despite total ignorance of climate change he is in his mind an expert, same with telling young men how they should live their lives, psychedelics which he has never tried and many other subjects. It comes from a life in academe instead of the real world others must live and learn in. With each doctorate comes increased arrogance, with each professorship comes the fantasy of specialness that fuels this man's ego-drieven constant chatter. He doesn't know what he doesn't know but imagines what he knows is all there is to know. He lacks all humility, and is used to lecturing [hectoring] young students looking for help. I very much doubt he has anything to offer them but an illusion. And along with his brainwashed catholicism [which I'm damiliar with since I was also subjected to it, but unlikie Peterson saw through it at age nine and when I had learned the word atheist, understood that was what I was. I can see why some may be impressed by him, but they have to be rather low on the IQ scale not to see this performer as the shallow man he really is. It might be because4 I have a natural born bullshit detector, and he sets it off every time.
