You are an absolute lifesaver!! I had my windshield replaced (thank you gravel truck!) and when they put the wipers back on, they were way off the original mark, stopping at about 11 o'clock, right in front of the driver's face. What were they thinking??

Depends on the shank. 1 1/4 in shank is over 400ft pounds

This hack is insane, my RC drag car wastes evreyone and they stand speechless as to why a Tamiya Aqroshot with stock tyres beats them.

woah. was thinking of doing this to my 1/18 rock crawler but was much more complicated (bolts/nuts) but this way is more easier/faster and it won't be permanent. Thanks!

I buy the cheap knock off Pro-Line Hyrax tires (Injora Rocks Tires - Super Swampers) there identical pattern, just the Injora's are not as soft ... so you take your knock off tires, put them in a large zip lock bag, spray the piss out of them with WD40, close the bag for 24 - 48 hours, and when you take them out, wipe them down, they are SOFT as hell ... just like the Predator compound!

Yea, but they swell and you have to superglue them on the rim. I'll try the method in the vid.

No offence intended Nicky, but this way of doing things is wrong in almost every way possible. It might work for a short while but is not a proper fix. For those watching this video to learn how to do it for yourself, pass this one by and try searching youtube for 'fix loose axe head' watch a few of these [look for channels with many subscribers] and you will soon see what is good and what is bad ... It is just as easy and quick to do the job right If you just want an axe for occasional odd jobs and don't want to bother with maintenance, buy a modern axe with a fully bonded fibreglass handle - they are pretty cheap

It works with rubber. Sure, for a minute after applying it's acting as lube, but when rubber soaks it in, it grips very well. I'm using it a lot for many things. WD40 is a must have in toolbox.
@jimalton1564

Petroleum makes rubber softer and more sticky. That is why oil undercoating a full size vehicle cuts down on rust, but destroys motor mounts, transmission mounts, spring bushings, and anything else rubber. A bit of WD40 on tires, then wipe off excess and let sit, will make them sticky.

Say you make wd40 puddle in the garage and drive over it, would that work? I spill and splatter wd40 all the time so staining the concrete wouldn’t be a concern
@nickeybobby8373
@nickeybobby8373 3 жыл бұрын
It should still work, but you will have a lot of excess WD-40 on your tires. Thus, you will have to clean them up a bit and they would take awhile to dry. Also, depending on how clean your garage floor is, it might attract dirt onto the tires. Give it a go and let me know how it works.

Yes absolutely. I have an HPI buggy that I use this method on, and it works great. The affect do wear off quicker on race cars than on crawlers. In my opinion, its still worth doing.
