If I see an artist whose art I love, I totally admire them, and really don’t envy them at all, I just aspire to be like that one day with my own art. However, there’s this one artist that triggered that envy in me. They have quite a lot of followers, only post simple art that I feel I could do better (which is totally fine, I still admire people’s efforts), but what triggers me in that artist is what they post. They’re so ungrateful online, only post links to their shop and constant complaints how people don’t buy things, how they’re so tired of everything and don’t care about people anyway.. it annoys me because they already have a big part of what I want, and they’re so openly ungrateful about it.. I do understand tho, like you said, that my own blessings will come in time.. but maybe someone understands this feeling. I can’t feel admiration for someone that has such a mindset that I really dislike. I still wish them well and hope they can overcome their struggles, but it’s easier for me to feel admiration towards other artists that feel positive

oh my gosh this really resonated with me 😭 it's been 7 years since i moved abroad and i've only made one friend that i meet regularly (like 4 times a year) and i have no close friends. growing up i've always had different group of girl best friends. but it was easier back then when you met each other at school every single day, had the same interests, and went through the same challenges. but when you grow up, it's so hard to meet people who actually matches your energy and 'get' you because you all have different backgrounds and stories. i have best friends but they're all back home - the key difference is that i can really be vulnerable in these friendships. i can always talk about my feelings, hardships, anxiety and depression and they would understand and give me long answers and not just this 'oh i hope you feel better soon!', they actually care because they understand it. i feel what you said about the key to making meaningful friendships being 'opening up' - i don't think i've really ever opened up to anyone here in this country. anyway, great video <3 i feel comforted knowing that there are people out there who also struggle making adult friendships but have overcome it.
