Art Evokes. A video about light bloom effects in blender led me here, funny how that works. I wasn't expecting this. Between the other sci-fi songs you uploaded there's clearly a story being told even if it's just fragment by fragment and I find myself wanting to know more. You're tapdancing on the boundaries of a few very interesting themes, of hope and loss, of man and what they create, and the persistent passage of time. Combine that with the music and art you chose and well, It's good stuff. About this specific song and the story it tells- The astronaut couldn't be the pianist she'd been hoping would come home to her. Vague similarity, multiversal hijinks or her inability to distinguish past and present in her degraded state is what seems to have her reacting as she does at his presence, but I have to put myself in his shoes watching this. This synthetic woman falling into his arms and his being reminded of his own companion, letting his mind wander to a meaningful moment shared with the one he knew even as the one he was holding stills. At first it almost feels an insult for him to have let his mind wander so, but I think he recognized what she was seeing and saying and connected with her, and that's what evoked those memories in him. Even though the signal might have ceased its transmission, its message was still sent, received, and understood by someone out there. That's why I think he looks back before takeoff. He wouldn't have done so if in his minds eye all there was to see was an empty shell. Sometimes after loss, being seen and understood is the best one can hope for, and she got that along with her moment of reunion. Yeah, I hope we get more at some point.

The only unrealistic thing about this video is a 3800 V6 breaking down. Those things are bulletproof.

I love towards the end of the video, when everyone comes to help Miku out, they're all carrying stuff except the one Skater Girl who's like: "Yo check this sick move out!"

You know, I’ve had people in my life essentially say “get up, you can make it happen” but like, I could never help but project judgment into that. Like, in the encouragement, they’re still judging me for not being able to do it by myself. But maybe it’s because Miku is unattached to any human person and I know she has no preconceived judgments that hearing her tell me to get up and don’t give up in the song really hit. Honestly what a beautiful song all around man. I haven’t had a song make me cry in years.

This inspired me to make a slice of life au for vocaloid! The main characters are my UTAU OCs, vivi, and Kanato ongaku. Along with aika setsuko, they go around town helping others due to seeing how sad and depressed the townsfolk Vivi is best friends with Miku and Rin, so when she saw how Miku helped others, she decided she would help as well I hope to make this a full-fledged series soon!
